The RS struts/ springs will work ok, but they are valved and sprung for a little lighter car than a leggy. My bone stock legacy was the same on the scales as the quoted weight for a 2.5rs; down to the pound. All that crap about what interchanges with what has been covered to death. There's been 2 s...

2.5rs stuff and a turbo bar. Passengers don't realize it's not stock, but its enough to make it fun.

I'm not sure why it really matters; even as a sports car, imprezas aren't meant to go fast. If they were, they wouldn't be awd short wheelbase cars. Yeah, the legacy (especially prefacelift ) is more aerodynamic, but either number is pretty normal for a early 90s 3 box sedan.
