Mitch's project JDM BC GT

So, I've been a bit busy, and not really present on the forums at all. My weekends have been taken up by me starting my own Businiess, now officially called "Subaru Specialists", working exclusively on subies. It's been good fun actually, I gotta say, it's been enjoyable. But last few week...

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Yes manual belts are all we get. But I can sent kits over, all the trim makes it too big to post!

And yes I got the BG Ic splitter alphius.

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

I have had a chance to look into a few 20G ecu's, all of them are like the ones I have already, holes for the socket to be welded into, but no socket present. I'm starting to suspect the socket is an RS only option, as everything I've seen is GT, and the only socket one I've seen is my mates RS ecu....

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Yeah I never got to play perfect dark. Was by rare, like golden eye before it, so the two are joined at the hip.

Never did find an ECU, I'll have to find time to head out there and hunt around!

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Sorry I haven't been on here recently guys! I know some of you are waiting on me to get back on shipping and what not, which I have not done. I was away for easter, and since I got back, well... GTA V happened (I've got no consoles), so that was me gone for the best part of the month! any spare time...

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

I will try find a facelift ECU. It will be no different other than 16-bit over 8-bit, and probably have the socket. I will verify this before posting. Btw, I lied in the first post, i forgot pre face lift was 8-bit, I have updated this now. MANY THANKS. If it requires pre-payment or anything like t...

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Ah woops, alphius I got mixed up, when you started talking about the tacho stuff I though the custom first gen stuff! The BG cluster shouldn't be an issue for you surely... I made a pinout a couple years back when I converted to a GC STi cluster so I could have a 9K STi cluster in beast. I put it in...

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

I'd say drop the idea of electronic speedo, then you've got plenty of options. Even a standard 8k tach will do yah just fine I'd you want to save pennies.

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Yeah, generally speaking I leave the tach's matched with their original cluster, and swap the speedos around, since they all mount the same.

Oh, and I seccessfully got a BG splitter today, woop!

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Looking for a Post face lift Instrument cluster. ELECTRONIC speedo, either speed scale - will be using a converter to indicate MPH. Either tach, 9K would add a few $$$. Either manual or automatic, can use my USDM fuel/temp gauge background to convert to manual, if needed. So, at bare minimum, the e...

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Looking mainly for a "1s" ecu and an a irbox assembly from a gt-b/rs or v3/v4. Last few pieces of the puzzle for my swap. You sure you don't want to let go of the ej207 shortblock, I could offer many usdm parts in trade lol. One orange AFM airbox. Also have greensticker ones, but you'll b...

Big update guys! check out the first post, added heaps. Also revised all the freight prices after re-checking some things. Also added a speel on first gen clusters. SO MANY OPTIONS OMG F U SUBARU. But also thank you for allowing us to mix'n'match and make awesomeness. Reuben! Before I purchase the o...

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Hehehe. 1S ECU's are pretty easy to come buy, I'll look for a 6S also. 1S is V3 20K WRX, 6S is V3 20K STi and STi RA. Both run yellow injectors, orange AFM, and 3-bar map, both make 206kw/280hp. Any particular reason you want a 1S over a 6S? Other than 1S being tuned for the VF22 (which I can buy ne...

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Because that list is incomplete, and probably cause it's pretty basic, only from 89-91 for automatic GT's. I can get vins and photos of the cars they are out of, one was the loom doner for blighter, one was the factory GT ecu from my partners car, which now has a 220hp RS ecu. And they are listed on...

Re: Reubens BC "Blighter"

Mini update... The boyfriend has talked some reason into me, pointing out how cheap it is to do head gaskets, and how I need to learn doing them... So why not just fix the 20D and roll with it... This takes the time pressure off the 2.2, so I can get the heads fixed proper, the block built proper, w...

Re: JDM parts from a land down under.

Have a standard GT (200ps) ecu. $120. May be able to source a Wrx ecu that will run the old style 20G's, just without IC water pump control (240ps at the crank on the same internals and injectors), but I'll have to buy it in, so closer to $200, less if I get lucky. Shipping will be trivial, est $30 ...

JDM parts from a land down under.

G'day! So this is it, this thread is going to be a wee place holder for my new company, until DLC gives my account access to the vendor section. I will be keeping the first post up to date, and remove items as soon as they are sold, and posting up new bits. Basically the gist of the business plan is...
