Re: Enduring Solutions ECU board and why you should buy it

For both my EJ20G ECUs (on my Legacys), if it got below 40°, they'd Start>Stop>Start run OK. After swapping the CTS and reading online that they're cold-blooded, I basically gave up (but chronicled what else I tried @ the bottom of my EJ20G Thread). For what it's worth, Rob's tunes fix this problem...

Re: Legacy777's 1990 Legacy Turbo

I have the same problem. My fuel vapor line is just vented under the hood. Sometimes I smell fuel. But the odd thing is that I still get the hiss from the gas cap same as when that line had a cap on it. I think I will just cap it again. Better than having lingering fuel vapors for no reason. The his...

Re: Enduring Solutions ECU board and why you should buy it

I had one of these in my hands, and let it slip away ;( I did also, as you know. Robert has it now for a very hansome price. The reason I let it go rather than trying to run it was because through my research there was no one in the country who was licensed to tune it according to various forums I ...

Re: Custom Power Steering Line Thread

So today I went to grab my spare set of power steering hoses to take to a shop to build me new ones and while looking at the ones on my car I realized I already replaced them with other stock 1st gen hoses and did a better job bending them. They don't look kinked at all. So now I'm wondering if the ...

Legacy777 wrote:The remote reservoir is to help accommodate the intake piping under the intake manifold.
Is the intake piping that much different than the EJ20K that I have? It must be because the reservoir they had on that car cleared it just fine.

Re: Custom Power Steering Line Thread

What is the point of the remote reservoir? I'm actually wondering, not trying to be rude. I have a wrx pump and remote reservoir but unless it holds more fluid, I don't see the point. It's more clutter under the hood.

Re: Custom Power Steering Line Thread

We need Dan back. I still need to do this. There's a local hydraulics place but they told me they don't do metric fittings. I really need some new hoses for my ps. I'm driving the legacy daily again and it really sucks not having power steering.

Re: Intermittent Violent Shaking Idle On Cold Start - Geo Me

I cleaned almost all the grounds (except one that I know of but it's just another body ground and I already have one right next to the battery) so far and after doing so the car now idles all over the place. Even when fully warmed up. Here's a video after I parked the car right before turning it off...

Re: Anyone using LED headlight bulbs?

I see. Makes sense. Thanks for the input. I guess glass headlights are the only way. I'm not into the idea of retrofitting anything in my headlights. Always comes out looking ugly and it doesn't seem like it would be easy to aim them properly. For the pre-face cars, yes going with the EDM glass hea...

Re: Anyone using LED headlight bulbs?

Ii noticed a big improvement with piaa xtreme white bulbs amd even bigger when i installed relay harnesses. +1 But the brighter bulbs do not last as long. I initially put in Osram 70/65w Off-Road bulbs and they lasted about 3 months! I stopped driving w/mine all the time due to their shorter lifesp...

Re: Intermittent Violent Shaking Idle On Cold Start - Geo Me

After writing that I performed a quick little test on that circuit. Started the car with a new 30 amp fuse in the EFE circuit and it popped in about 5 seconds. Unplugged the EFE and installed a new fuse again and waited. Nothing. Took my spare EVE (yeah I have another one that I never put in because...

Re: Intermittent Violent Shaking Idle On Cold Start - Geo Me

I did measure them off the battery. The car only barely duplicated the problem this morning however it was only for a couple seconds and it smoothed out on its own for once and wasn't nearly as violent so I couldn't bust out my meter and take any measurements. I found a ton of schematics but I don't...

Re: Intermittent Violent Shaking Idle On Cold Start - Geo Me

I did this little test but wasn't able to replicate the problem so I've placed my fluke in my car so the next time I can hopefully measure the voltage when it's acting up. Also my stupid ctek battery tester is broken brand new. I noticed the second time I used it that it was extremely finicky about ...
