So my compressor's been broken for about a year now. But my defrost works like a monster. What specfically am I losing when I delete the A/C re: the defrost? The heat exchanger thingy gets deleted and that f-ups things up? (Apologies, I don't have Chilton's in front of me...)

Good to know. That wire plug that rides on top of the a/c compressor evidently needs to stay where it is because unplugging it stops the dash fan working...Also, looks like I need to remove the rad to get at the air conditioning rad. That's going to be the worst part I guess. I'm going to move my Su...

A/C Delete

Reviving this thread with a quick Q. Went last summer w/out an air conditioner and didn't really miss it. Prior to autocross season I want to delete the a/c and all the parts and lose some weight but don't want to lose my precious defroster. What's the work around here? Those folks that have deleted...

Can you post a link to the exact tire you got - not 100 percent sure we're talking about the same thing.

BTW, like the interior on your ride...And the exterior...

How about a photo of the tires onboard?

Thanks! I spoke with Smart Service today (www.smart-service.com) and they're going to look at it happening and trouble shoot again. OF COURSE it wouldn't do it for them when I last brought it in. They said they load tested both the Alternator and the Battery at the time and they checked out. But the...

The alternator tests out as does the battery although the battery is just hitting the lower end of the range of months for replacment. Should I have a battery standing by incase they suggest that as a fix? They seem to be content to just spend the shop time to replace it but I'm thinking it could be...

My car eats alternators? Help!

Previous owner (Josh Fatburger) replaced ALT at 125572 and I replaced the same ALT at 128226. Now she is giving me the dash lights (Batt/ABS/Break) intermittenly about half the time. Blue chip local independent, Smart Service, says Alternator isn't charging when this is occuring and WILL replace und...

Hey, My airconditioning compressor just siezed up the other day - burned the belt all to heck. I guess this is a common problem. My in dependent mechanic (www.Smart-Service.com) says it's too expensive to fix (upwards of 1200 bucks! for him to do it) so I was going to get him to empty it out of the ...
