Re: Name my shop!
You are welcome to use my name that I never used because I never opened up shop. It can be interpreted as car audio or anything else car related. Custom Car Creations. Sorry, no logo for you to steal but something with 3 c's would be cool. JJ's custom car creations doesn't sound too bad... also, I s...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Dismantled my do it yourself ghetto motorization contraption for my amp rack and laid out a simple hinge instead to allow access to the spare tire. Been taking too long without tunes....

Re: Help me choose a new ride
id love to help but your rule #2 pretty much nixes every suggestion I have... Rule #2 is due to me living in the snow belt and no matter how good you take care of a car here they just wont last without starting to rot out. I know this has no bearing on a car that I'm purchasing as I could buy one f...

Re: Help me choose a new ride
I owned an 04 Volvo S60R for several years and it was fabulous. Mine was a 6M. The awd worked great and the seats were the absolute best I have ever sat in. It also had active suspension dampenings that were adjustable. Loved that car. Only downside, if youre going to mod it, your gonna pay! I did ...

Re: Help me choose a new ride
I've been really happy with my G35. I love the car, its fun to drive, has a ton of balls its comfortable. The driving position is good and the stereo volume control is where it belongs (on the left side of the wheel :) ) I had originally planned on getting the same thing only a 2004 which was the al...

Re: Help me choose a new ride
Yeah, the only down side is that its a little small and mostly a "chic" car lol. I would confidently buy one with 100k miles though and only expect to put tires and brakes into it.
My GF just got a 2007 with about 16k miles on it and its pretty nice.

Help me choose a new ride
Hey guys, Well for a few years now I've had my G35 sedan and used that for summers and my station wagon that I use for winters. Having two cars has become a bit of a nuisance for me due to living in a condo. Its also two car insurances, two property taxes, two registration taxes, etc a year to deal ...

Re: Water temp gauge and sensor
probably need a diode in there somewhere to keep the sensor from grounding through the new ecu wire. I'd try to put a diode between the "new" wire and the gauge wire with the band facing the gauge.

Based on his post I'd say he tapped into the single wire (wrong one).

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Made a 3inch to 2 inch cheapo coupler fit on my throttle body. What a disaster! Found a massive boost leak that has been there for who knows how long. Turbo has been sounding really loud so I thought I'd look into it. There was a huge tear in the coupler from the saab ic outlet to the TB. Our TB is ...

Re: Snow tires?
I cant recall ever having this much snow in a winter before... I havent gotten stuck but the all seasons are really sucking this year for some reason. Usually the snow is not a problem with the all seasons but the car is somehow all over the place this winter.

Re: second gen tweeter cups
Generally speaking you want to keep the tweeters close to the midranges but unless you are building an SQ car it probably wont matter much.

Ahh, TT didn't see this was you the first time I posted. I'm sure you know what you're doin so disregard my post

Re: Need HELP ASAP!!!!!
A blown fuse is usually only caused by a direct short to ground. I'd trace every circuit that is on that fuse by looking at the schematic. I doubt its a relay and I don.t recall ever seeing a faulty key cylinder blowing fuses. Did you see if maybe more than one wire got melted on that harness? Maybe...

Did some searching but came up empty.
Do you use em? What do you have?
I have a set of extra wheels and I thought I'd look into a set since I'm getting almost no grip from my all seasons this winter

Re: Need HELP ASAP!!!!!
Damn I'm good. Seriously come on give me some props people. diagnosing a melted wire from 3000 miles away! ok I'm impressed at least :) And yes, after having an after market header on for a couple of years and then going back to stock (when the header broke) I noticed a difference right away. Also, ...
