Nice progress! You have a lot of time invested!! Feels good eh! Did you ever find side skirts? We sourced 00to 04 outback skirts. They will need about 2" removed but the fitment is absolutely awesome otherwise. Its what ss flares should have looked like!

Re: 2.5 engine questions
Using the ej18/20/22 crank would make it a destroked build, and youd theoretically end up around 2.35L. From my understanding, the stock pistons wont work in that scenario, not due to fitment, but due to how far (less) they travel with that crank. Imho you should use an ej255/7 crank with that setu...

Re: Air fuel gauge
I have a narrow band gauge in my car when I went to work today my car was stumbling and it stalled at a stop sign. When I restarted it I had to hold the throttle to the floor before it would restart and noticed that the gauge was showing it was rich and would was not moving off of the rich light is...

Re: Torque Converter for 4.444 swap into EJ22T
UPDATE: FINALLY, after MUCH headache and pain, the trans and diff swapped. However, all is not well. Was able to source a MY97 Outback trans (eventually) and installed with new seals, checked the duty C for resistance, MPT clutch seemed free, new filter, adjusted the band to 97 specs. Trans has ~16...

or at least a known good one from the parts section. they are pretty expensive new. pulling one from a wrecking yard has more often then not yielded IAC's that were no better if not worse then the original. Ebay has loads of used ones in the 60-80 range which is still pretty steep considering you s...

More problems. Intermittent super lean idle. When lean vacuum goes to -15hg. Normally 19-20hg @ idle. Leans out so bud it will misfire. If i blip the throttle it will go way rich. And sweep back and forth rich lean rick lean and settle super lean. And other times perfect idle -19 to -20 vacuum and i...

Are there any online instructions for it so we can review and comment on the install? I'm not sure why but the subaru instructions are eluding me at the moment. This is the exact same http://www.jandssafeguard.com/EclipseInstall.html just ignore the tps and map wires. The hardest part was getting a...

EDIT: This info applies to Phase I (TZ/TA101/102) trans only. Phase II (T1Z, T2A, ect) are a different creature. Doing some research (and not finding any solid info on flexplate/bolt circle info for the early 4EAT), the SS Converter had an 11.3" bolt circle where the N/A Legacies (and 1.8, 2.2...

What other chassis mods would be required? Fuel tank for sure. Can a back transfer section be swapped onto his 4eat? Or is there vast differences? Everything else is fairly simple to swap. His legacy is in really good condition for a first Gen in out area!!!

(Idiot move) i cleaned the iac and set the screw back to where i thought it was... now the car either idles high like 1500 or too low like almost st...
