WTB: Turbo Left Rear Caliper
I need a left rear caliper for a 91-94 Legacy SS/TW, mine has seized up beyond repair. Thanks.

Re: Ground Control on 91 t-leg?
http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=22419 According to that link, the struts will work. Just as you said, get the kit that goes with the struts. You will, however, need to convert to 92-94 rear top hats for the GC kit to work. I have the kit on my car, meant for the Impreza, and I love it.

Re: Whiteline steering rack bushing will NOT fit
Alright, thanks. I was just making sure I wasn't doing something wrong. There really isn't a wrong way to put the damn thing on, you'd think.
I'll just muscle the bastard into place.

Re: Whiteline steering rack bushing will NOT fit
The grunge in and around the bushing is just the grease from trying to slip into the mount. I cleaned the area up, scraped all the old shit out, and how it sits right now is as far as it will go. The large gap is the best it will fit on. The mount on the crossmember won't fit between the bushing, it...

Whiteline steering rack bushing will NOT fit
I am not quite sure why, but I cannot get the driver's side Whiteline KSR202 poly bushing to fit into the mount. The passenger mount fits just fine, but there is just no possible way I will be able to mount the bushing like how it is pictured. Thankfully (I guess) I have the rack out of the car, and...

Re: Replacing my oil pan
rpms dropping when shifting doesn't seem normal. When my car sits for a few days, it has a crazy high idle when first started. It takes a couple minutes for it to calm down, and if you drive it without letting the car warmup, the revs are all over the map on the lower gears. That seems to be a prett...

Re: Replacing my oil pan
Okay, spent a little more time opening up the space in the pan, and it fits in there with a lot less effort. I suppose there is an upside to this. After taking all the crap off, I can finally replace that oilpan, put in some sti motor mounts I was given, replace the steering rack bushings, replace s...

Re: Replacing my oil pan
So, I slightly bent one of the openings to see if it would make a difference. It did, perhaps I didn't go far enough to make it larger. I really wasn't spending much time on it, just curious if it would make a difference. I can still see that the oil cooler hard line, and the exhaust are perfectly a...

Re: Replacing my oil pan
After reading up on some newer oil pan replacements, I see the oil pickup tube is the main cause of the problem. I may just do a little modifying myself to get it to fit it into place properly. Thanks.

Replacing my oil pan
My oil pan was rusty as hell, so I decided I was going to replace it. I got a new OEM one about a year ago. I was waiting for the right time to do this project. So, recently I just happened to have a leaky steering rack line. Take the steering rack out and think "gee, one more step and I can ge...

WTB: Front crossmember w/ steering rack for SS.
My steering rack is leaking, so I went to drop it down, and 2 bolts just sheered right off at the bushing mounts. fml.
So, I am now not only going to need a rack, but a xmember as well. If someone is within an hour driving distance, that'd be cool. I know shipping is a real bitch.

Re: power steering line leaking
It's not the pressure line, but the return line. I actually have a brand new replacement line, but I have no clue how I can access one side of the line which goes into the steering rack itself, without actually have to drop the whole assembly. I bought the line to actually prevent doing so. I'm begi...

power steering line leaking
The hard line going into my steering rack is just disintigrating. I thought I saw somewhere that instead of replacing the whole line, because it is such a bitch to get to, they just cut off the yucky part, and used some hose and clamped the ends. Does this sound like a good idea? The line going into...

Re: Yakima fairing question...
I have a 38" fairing, and it is practically the full length of the car. You would probably have to cut it, otherwise it'd be hanging off the car. The material shouldn't be difficult to cut with a router bit for the dremel.

Re: Spotted Thread
I passed a lifted red 92-94 TW today in CT. It had a temporary registration tag in the rear hatch window. I drive all over the state for my job, and this is the first 1st gen. turbo legacy I've passed in probably over a year. I was driving in the opposite direction, and I was seriously considering t...

They'd give a minimal drop. The are stiffer than the stock Legacy springs though, so you will certainly feel a difference.
And yes, off a sedan.

FWIW, they are only about $14 brand new from subarugenuineparts.com. I couldn't find any in decent shape, so I just broke down and bought new ones. So, if you want to base how much they're worth on that...
