The high idle was initially caused because the ECU still thought it was an AT. The ECU will put more timing advance at idle for an AT vs. a MT because there is more drag/weight in the system. You can alleviate this problem by snipping the AT/MT identifier lead that goes to the ECU. I believe Dave di...

I think you need 17's to clear the 4-pots. Also.....I've been told that subaru 4-pots need to be bled often.....I don't know why or if this is BS.....just an observation someone told me. You can get all the parts used....depending on the buyer for about 200 bucks.....or around there. Much cheaper th...

So you are using a 15 ohm power resistor instead of the stock one.....which was about 7.5 ohms I believe. I can tell ya....from first hand experience.....my tranny is not the same after leaving the resistor unplugged......It does some weird stuff when I drive around and leave it in the 3 position. J...

To do the swap you need pads, rotors, calipers, brackets from a WRX. The effect of messing up the brake balance will probably be less of an issue with the turbo. By adding the WRX brakes on the front you will effectively increase the amount of brake torque that can be generated in the front. You how...

Well.....I don't have the AGX's But I do have the GR2's and just installed whiteline springs. I really need to wait until the springs get seated and stuff before I can give you final comments. But first impressions are good. I could probably go for a little stiffer struts....but I think when the spr...

Al, I've been talking with that guy. I told him he could use one of your chips with the stock 95 ecu. The other issue is that in 95 OBD2 was introduced. So I don't think he could just swap ECU's.....and pulling the whole wiring harness would be an unbelievable bear. He'd be better off just getting s...

The thermostat is on the bottom side of the drivers side portion of the engine......(that's horrible grammar  ) The water pump is behind the timing belt covers. The t-stat bolts right to the engine. The big hex nuts are the coolant drain things.....you don't need to touch those. taking the t-st...

That's my site. Previous problems.....basically means if you have any codes in there from problems or such. It's possible it could be speed sensor.....but I sorta doubt it because you heard the thunk.......that's not good..... I'd stop by a tranny shop....see if they could give you a free diag.........
