Interesting......looks like it would replace the stock ECU. Without knowing about the maps & such.....I don't know if it'd be such a good idea. main reason that comes to mind. If it's set to run on the higher octane gas in japan. You'll most likely get detonation by running that ECU & our lo...

Adam, Something I have been told that contributes a bit to the hesitation on subaru motors is the fact they are carbon piggies. They tend to build up quite a bit of carbon on the valves & that can cause your hesitation. I've run two tanks of techron cleaner through....and the hesitation is still...

yeah......let's try and track down this hesitation BS. I have it on mine from stop to about 3000.....and then pulls after that. if I bring on the gas slowly.....it's not quite as noticable. I really think Al has something with the intake idea. Also....just a tid-bit which I need to do some more rese...

the coolant temp avenue. Usually if the engine is colder, it will get more gas. Hotter engine within a certain range should use less gas then a "cold" engine. MAF is also another possibility. I've been conversing with Al about some hesitation issues I'm having.....he said he has seen some ...

morgie, yes you are correct. I was unaware of where it dumped back in. So basically you have a vent to atmosphere BOV setup. What happens if you just plug the hose goin back to the intake, and have a purely vent to atmosphere BOV setup? What happens then? If you hesitation comes back, you could link...

Morgie,

When you have a hole in the intake essentually......and have boost.....you are going to be expelling air.....not drawing it in.

So you're not going to be getting more air......you're goin to be getting less.

Well.....assuming you have AWD.....you could order a set of a AGX's for a 93 wagon.......they should work fine. Top mounts, assuming the custom springs you have kept the same smaller dia, tapered spring at the top you need top mounts specific for that year. The part numbers you need are Front: (not ...

Here's the dilly on the springs. The 1990-1991 MY legacies had a tapered rear spring. So you have two options. Get the correct springs from whiteline (pretty sure they are the only vendor with the tapered springs....I installed mine two weekends ago) From 1992+ the rear springs are the same as the n...

Paul, The diag check you ran. Did you get the TPS sensor from checking the ECU....or TCU? The TPS does is in fact a pretty important piece when it comes to the tranny and controlling shifts. Here's info on testing the TPS http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/images/TPS_testing1.jpg http://www....

The two connectors (green & black) connected to their respective colors only clears the codes in the ECU

It does not reset the ECU.

You need to do the battery method, or reset it with a select monitor.

All the instructions for resetting the ECU & pulling codes can be found on my site.

You don't have an EGR valve....that's why you can't find it. The 1990-1994 legacies did not have/need an EGR valve. In 1995 the EGR valve was put back on.....mainly due to emissions BS and the swap to OBD2 I believe. EGR valve = Ehaust Gas Recirculation valve. Essentually it recirculates exhaust gas...

Al,

Do all the breathers go into this can? ie: both valve covers & the one out of the back of the engine where the PCV goes?

Got any pics?

The top mounts come as is......On the front you reuse spring holder & little washer......put on top mount & then tighten nut down. On the rear, you move the rubber bushing thing to the new top mount and bolt everything in. If you order top mounts for the 92-94 legacy or for that matter impre...

how do the bulb itself match up.

If it's position is off a little, you won't get the correct focal & beam pattern....light will suck even more........

I'd be curious to know a little more if you find anything.
