Well I started installing this thing yesterday and did not get too far. Like always I have to make some fancy bracket to mount everything. I needed a place to mount the solenoid and pressure sensor that was dry and away from heat and still close to the turbo (kind of an oxymoron if you ask me). Any...

That connector setup sounds fine as long as it doesn't admit moisture. You should put dielectric grease in the female spades before connecting them (if you haven't already). 12.2 volts should give you about 25 to 35 percent more luminous flux than 11.3 volts. I'm sure you'll be pleased with it when...

There should be two screws or torx bits on each side of the steering wheel horn button. After you take those two out, or rather loosen them, you should be able to pop off the horn button. If the horn button is hard to take off, then just keep jiggling around the screws/bits with a screwdriver until ...

Like everyone's already said, I'd check for a boost leak. I'd check the bypass valve setup, followed by the intercooler and hoses.

I'm pretty sure you'd know if your turbo went up.

Vikash, I ended up just taking some spade connectors and using those as terminals without a "connector" housing. Just put electrical tape and shrink tubing over the ends to make sure the two spade connectors didn't short each other. I tested the voltage drop across the driverside bulb. The...

Okay. I'll just run the relay's coil in place of the bulb. The GM alternator socket doesn't REALLY fit an H7 bulb. Imagine that you have the two spade connectors facing the same direction within the housing. The two prongs that stick out from the bulb (actually the bulb socket connector that's attac...

I'll be the first to say that no amount of increase in light output is ever enough. The projector beams on the celi made a world of difference compared to my 91, but I'm still gonna upgrade the harness. NEED MORE LIGHT!

Wish I could spend the dough for a stock HID setup

I'm going to be doing this upgrade! I took a look at the wiring at the socket connector for the low beam H7. It's as shoddy as every other Japanese car out there. Something like 18/16gauge! I found a GM alternator socket connector that fits the H7 connectors too! I figure that harness should be stur...

Hmmm, I'm wondering how beneficial this would be to my stock lighting system? I know the low beams are an H7 projector, not sure about the bulbs for the highs. Vikash, how noticeable was the difference in light output after this mod?

I am STILL curious about why you think the Carbon Fiber gauges are harder to damage. What application are you using to damage a gauge? No tuner worth his weight would put all boost/vac faith in an electronic unit. I guess if you are keeping the car as stock as it is, you won't need to worry about it to much. If you turn up the boost, the Apexi unit (which Apexi unit, by the way?) is going to read what the ECU reads, and the ECU re...

I did use to have electrical problems when it rained. You all have to remember that these cars are anywhere from 10-13 years young! Not to mention the turbos tend to generate a lot of heat, that lays waste to wires and harnesses over time. I would suggest trying to go through the harnesses and wires...

While a S-AFC is useful on our cars, an aftermarket ecu has more flexibility to get rid of the MAF sensor on our cars (which shows a tendency to max out in readings with a 16g). There's a post about this somewhere on the board. Once you reach the peak reading on the MAF sensor, no amount of tuning w...

haha.. Yeah well about 85% of the time in the winter the snow is cleared. The rest of the 15% is wet salt/slush shit that rusts the hell out of any car. the legacy twin turbo is paralell. one turbo powered by one bank of cylinders That is wrong. The legacy twin turbo is a sequential turbo setup. There's a small turbo and a big turbo. Both are fed by all four cylinders. That is the reason there is a "valley of death" in boost on those cars...

There is a performance advantage with equal length headers, so that is what makes me kinda lean towards them. I'll check it out and see if I can listen to some other peoples cars. Perhaps it's a fuel starvation problem coupled with the lack of an o2 sensor signal.

Matt, I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the car. As far as engines go, I might be able to check out the local Crazy Rays sometime to see if they have any turbo legacys in the yard. They get them in at random times.
