Re: Parting Out 92 Legacy SS Auto

I have a wish for something nobody else in the world wants - The little plastic engine coolant overflow bottle next to the radiator, with the plastic cap still attached to the bottle with a good lanyard !

Re: Another Look at Torquebind, Auto Trannys and TCU's

Hi Josh, That is curious info, and thank you. I also do not think it is a typo in the manual. I think a wiring diagram would have too many checks before publication, whereas a bad word or two could sneak by. Conversely, all that last paragraph trans info is taken right from the Legacy 91 Model Year...

Another Look at Torquebind, Auto Trannys and TCU's

Hello Legacy Central It's been a few years since posting for me. I'm browsing for parts - maybe a 92 turbo wagon auto trans drive shaft I replied to John Scoobiedoo22's recent post about "Parting Out 92 Legacy SS Auto", partly due to something described as "torque bind" It appea...

Hello Scoobiedoo22 - It's been a few years and I'm browsing for parts - maybe a 92 turbo wagon auto trans drive shaft I see you are giving up on a 92 SS, partly due to something described as "torque bind" I have seen the term used before by others, but have been uncertain about the symptom...

Re: Will 1991 Sport Sedan Oil Cooler bolt to MY 92-94 ?

Yes - I think the US or North American market was a testbed for the "detuned" Legacy Turbo, that came without an intercooler, then, the casting process that created the much desired closed deck EJ22T block was terminated for something less expensive, but still effective for the production...

Re: Will 1991 Sport Sedan Oil Cooler bolt to MY 92-94 ?

Hello RoughDiamond, Josh, Mike, CJ91, Robert, and Scooby. Thank you all for the insight. I was wondering why such a tiny oil cooler was fitted by Subaru, but figured they found it effective enough to include as original equipment. Even more curious was the production cut after only one year. But I ...

Will 1991 Sport Sedan Oil Cooler bolt to MY 92-94 ?

Title says it all...From the parts manual it looks like the oil cooler assembly sandwiched between the block and the oil filter ONLY came from the factory on the 1991 Sport Sedan. Not on the wagon or any other model years. Does anybody know if the 92-94 EJ22T has attach points, and oil inlets ready...

I'm up for the EDM headlights if they are plug and play - I'm unhappy with the US plastic that fades to yellow shortly after plastic cleaner use. Please contact me at ssspoon@aol.com or 310-429-4269 - Larry Witherspoon - Torrance (Los Angeles)
