Whiteline front, rear facing strut bar

Any of you guys have one of these installed on your legacy?

I'd liked to see if the rear facing one will work & fit past where my hella horns are installed.

If anyone can take some pics, that would be great.

Yeah......that's something most people wanting to put the DOHC heads on don't realize. They are smaller domed area or however they are setup, and will decrease compression ratio. On the flip side. If you take a 2.5 liter engine and put the ej22 heads on it. It will increase compression ratio quite a...

Adam, Do you have a select monitor2 or just the original select monitor? Where did you get it? I know they're rather spendy, but I don't plan on gettin rid of my car, and will most likely get another one, and the select monitor's ability to act as a log or see real time data is invaluable. Your test...

Actually, the 1-2 shift is not by band. I'm pretty sure its clutches/solenoids. If you get a shift kit, they plug a port in the metal plate which essentually gives you a very firm 1-2 shift.

My 1-2 shift is fine....it's the others that suck

You need to do a little more research if you were going to go to the EJ20T heads. You have to take into account coolant passages, (which shouldn't be a super big deal on an open deck motor) the fact you'd be goin to a DOHC setup, volume the actual heads take up....aka whether you will be increasing ...

1000-1500 is the normal goin price to have tranny rebuilt.

manuals usually last longer......but 180,000 something miles on an auto tranny is pretty good......

Well I'd start with the alternator......try taking it to auto parts store, have them test it, to see if it's bad. If it's bad, you'll prob just have to buy a new one.........as a side effect of the alternator, your battery may need have the chances to die later on. Once you do that, then I'd do all ...

Read some of the other threads in this forum. Some people have reported similar problems for the shifting.

Your tranny probably needs to be rebuilt.

I have no idea what a volkswagon tranny sounds like at high speed? enlighten us.....

Yes,

There were two variants. EJ20 n/a, & an EJ20T

You can read about the three variants for the introduction of the Legacy platform in the SAE article on my site or dave's.
