WTB/where to buy?
I am in need of a new lower u-joint for the steering column, and cannot find a replacement. Junkyards only have JUNK around here, and I hate to support the local dealership. Does anybody have one for sale, or know of an after market company that has them??

Re: Unerving Vibrations...
So I am still hunting for the solution to this problem, if anybody has any more ideas. The drive shaft was checked, and was fine. Since the last post, I have replaced tie rods (inner and outer, both sides), strut mounts, new tires, ball joints. I still have this mysterious shake. From what i have re...

I don't know if it is still available, but the ad is still up! $900 and running and looking good. It is near me and I would take it if I had more room! Keep it in the Circle!

Winter tires?
Does any body know if either a 215/65/15 or a 215/60/15 will fit a 1994 Legacy Turbo??? I am hoping so because my tires are shot and a family member will give me one of those sets for free. Thanks for any input.

So upon further looking, I think it has nothing to do with the tranny. As it idles it hesitates/chokes for a split second about once every 30 seconds. But only as soon as it gets into the normal temp range. Could this be why it was fine leaving work and progressivly worsened on the ride home? I hate...

fluids are proper levels changed recently. AT. This sounds and feels like when The only other AT car I had (98 ford craptor) lost its transmission. It slowly clunked more and more, as it screwed up shifts to the point of its death. Nothing loose that I see, or feel. It sounds strange but it almost s...

So my 94 turbo seemed perfect after some recent repairs, until today. Seems to be a new problem. When I 1/4 throttle all is well, and 99% ot the time the same at WOT. However when in the in between throttle positions I hear a loud clunking from the lower center by the firewall(ish). This all started...

Pcv valve is on the intake manifold just behind the Throttle body, on the Passenger side, and it takes a 19mm closed wrench to pull it off. It has a hose leading nearly straight down into the block. Heres a random pic of one I found online, I would have taken one myself but My car was recently ransa...

Mine is a turbo but recently I fixed a very similar problem by cleaning the PCV and lines running to it. It solved the problem, although mine is the ej22t. so it may be un related. Never the less, I would recommend you start by cleaning both the PCV and IAC with Brake cleaner. carb cleaner etc...Als...

I know a guy with one or two spare ej22t engines, that he would probably part with... I know he needs money. One had perfect compression, while the other needed to have one of the oil squirters replaced. Let me know and I can contact him for a price. I am near you over in Huntington Vermont too, so ...

+1 on fishbones response. Sounds like the Thermostat has a problem. Although it may be a good time to replace ALL the coolant hoses and clamps. This would be roughly $35 and is an easy job. It wouldn't hurt to change the thermostat (If that is the prob), and flush the system. Get the Gates replaceme...

High Idle!!! FIXED
So I have been researching a strange high idle for a while to no avail. *1994 Legacy Turbo AT*. When I boost and let off the car would stay at 1500 or more for 1-2 minutes before returning to normal. This was SOOOO dangerous at stoplights, when I would have to put the brake to the floor to stay in o...

Okay, so I really want to say your ignitor is bad. When they malfunction, causing loss of cylinders firing, raw gas is allowed into the exhaust. This will account for the black soot at the rear. I don't have the numbers in front of me for the testing, but after work tomorrow I can post how to test t...

My fiancee has a 92 legacy L that did a very similar thing and the problem was not what we expected. Turned out to be the igniter. It caused only two cylinders to fire and intermittently all four. This meant sometimes the car started and ran fine, other times it would run rough, or not start at all....

Thanks for all the input , although there will be no re-filling for a while. I replaced upper and lower hoses but while flushing saw small seepage through the hose going to the turbo. SO...once again if I can find a ride (or convince my fiancee to go for me) I will have to get a new one. Lucky for m...
