hard starting
I've got a'90 Legacy LS wagon, N/A, Automatic. When it's totally cold it will fire adn die, then just crank over unless I start feeding throttle into it. Kind of like an overly tight choke on a carburated engine. Once it has fired adn run for a few seconds I can let it come beack down to idle adn it...

Water lking above drivers door
I got the sunroof sealed, but now I am fighting a leak that is coming in behind the drivers door seal. It appears to be coming thru just about where the roofline trim turns into the winshield trim. Will try to get a pic to show exactly where. Has anyone else had to deal with this and if so how'd you...

My '90 wagon had may of the same problems as you have, except for the steering wobble. Both of my rear drag links were bent (see messed up alignemnt specs thread for pics). Changed the rear draglinks, much better but still some sudden oversteer (toe out), got it aligned, and walla, it drives like a ...

Sub Newb trans question part 2
'90 Legacy LS AWD wagon, non-turbo, AT.
Question: What exactly does the "manual" button on the shifter do? I can't tell much, if any, difference with or without it engaged.

Another ignoranat newbie trans question
Coming from a mechanical background and years of working on old american iron I think I already know the answer, but... The '90 Legacy 4wd wagon I got shifts nice and firm from 1-2, slides thru 2-3, and firm again 3-4. I have gotten used to letting off the throttle for the 2-3 shift, but if I'm beat...

Swapped out the lateral links this afternoon, not too bad, only had to blue tip wrench one bolt on the donor car. set the camber bolts at straight up, and have an appointment at 3 pm tomorrow to get it aligned. I can tell already that it handles MUCH better. Anyone need some slightly used lateral li...

Okay, next ignorant question, Subaru's use a 5 on 100mm bolt pattern, correct? if so that's the same as some Chrysler minivans, and most fwd GM stuff. Do the wheels interchange? Also what is the maximum backspacing that can be run before you start rubbing the struts, assuming a 205/60-15 or 215/50-1...

Located in the Tacoma Washington area, and have check with most of the yards nearby. Either thay don't have any, the wires are cut/sensor broken, or they won't sell just the hub, only the entire side, strut and all. Mine just had all new rotors, calipers, ect. installed, and I will be r2'ing the str...
