Re: Codes 23, 49. EJ22T w/metal MAF. Choppy idle and misfire

So if I unplug my injector wires, where would I run my volt meter leads to read the volts? Did you check all four injectors? THey seem very easy to get to with the air box off, and the battery/windshield washer fluid resivor.

Re: Engine codes 22,23,32,45, and 49..... WTF

http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=51026&start=25 I put everything back together. I pulled the map sensor, fuel filter, looked at the pump which i can hear running, looked at the sender device? on the driver side next to the fuel pump and inspected that screen which seemed goo...

Re: Engine codes 22,23,32,45, and 49..... WTF

Oh, nice. Yeah, that would be a great idea. I cleaned up the intake to the turbo today, so there should not be any vacume leaks. I was noticing another member on here had found out that one or more of his fuel injectors was wide open all the time, so when ever he stepped on the throttle it flooded a...

Re: Engine codes 22,23,32,45, and 49..... WTF

Update: After a few days of not getting upset with the way she is running, I pulled out the back seats and pulled off the passenger side fuel pump cover, which to me appears to seem in ok condition I am curious, HOW many wires actually go to the fuel pump? I have a red and black, but it appears that...

Re: Engine codes 22,23,32,45, and 49..... WTF

Keep in mind that even if the ECU completely limits boost as low as it will go, you will still get wastegate pressure. The ECU has no way except fuel cut to completely disable boost. Is your turbo intake collapsing under boost? Yeah, I agree. When I am in first flooring it even through the bucking ...

Re: Engine codes 22,23,32,45, and 49..... WTF

so I drive it again and called PIA. When I it, it starts to big down and then will build up to 5 pounds of boost while pulling then goes into vaccume for the rest of the pull, like its limiting boost pressure. Jake thinks its the MAP sensor. Based on the research I've done, I agree

Re: Had a bit of a scare recently

Just remember to keep squeezing the coolant hose on the passenger side of the radiator. It will take several squeezes per minute, over 30-45 minutes. If you have a friend that can help, have him watch the temp guage. If the coolant looks like it is about to gyeser, turn the car off and then restart ...

Re: Had a bit of a scare recently

I had an overheating issue for sometime. Turns out, it took me several coolant burping methods to fix everything. First the car would just over heat and gyeser coolant from the tank, then it would only get hot if I was not moving and it would go away once I was driving, then finally after one more e...

This is his thread on the similar issue: http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=49270 Here is what he said when I asked if the issue was fixed: I replaced all of my vacuum/boost lines which solved the problem for like a week and then it came back. Searched high and low for a replacement map se...

Re: Engine codes 22,23,32,45, and 49..... WTF

Is it like a fuel cut as you approach boost? Or does it just seem to miss? Can you keep the throttle planted and drive through it or does it just get worse? I didnt think it was the o2 sensor. I think it is the map sensor. I was talinking to a fellow member on here and stumbled upon his thread. He l...

Also, I am thinking of checking for any cracked vaccume lines around the intake and boost solenoid. Would it be wise to hook back into the stock solenoid and not have the mbc hooked up until these are resolved?
