Will you be taking it far enough apart to get the wiring harness out? It can be cut in places if needed. I mostly need it for the plugs so I can do a harness merge. If possible I'd like the harness that runs from the battery area, through the fender, behind the dash and heater area. Whatever crap y...

OK, I'm back from the crazy holiday season. I'm sorry to delay the pillaging of this fine automobile. The weather is grand and I'm tearing this thing down. I have the dash out because I need the heater core for my car. The seats need to go, the door panels, fenders, carpet looks pretty good, lot's o...

This looks like a real PITA job.

Luckily, I guess, the A/C core needs replaced too (or just o-ring). It's an R12 system :(

I'll be doing the conversion to R134a

Heater Core replacement??? Straight forward???

Has anyone on here replaced a heater core in their Legacy? It's time to do mine. Yesturday on the way home from work- the car in front of me must have had a bad head gasket or cracked head or something because I could smell a little antifeeze. On the way to work tonight- a different car in front of ...

Subarus and Nissans mount the motors in a weird location that allows objects to fall into the fan and rattle around. Could there be something in there that sounds like a clicking relay and has finally jammed the blades?

You don't have a amplifier hard wired to the battery do you?

No? Then I would check current through the alternator at rest. Might be shorted diodes in the voltage regulator.

WTB- spare tires near Portland, OR

I need a couple of spare tires. The thin suicide ones are fine. It would be nice if they held air but not a deal breaker if they dont!

The passenger (right side) fender needs dent repair. I think the driver side is fine. No rust that I can see on either.

What's your offer?

How about the ebrake assy if the chrome is still intact on the release button? I also need a drivers sun visor. The passenger seat is really nice, the driver seat has a tear on the lower outboard rib area. Not sure if you can replace your drivers seat with a passenger seat or not.

WRX ECM into 91SS???

I am at the point where I need some sort of engine management. I like the idea of a stand along but the price tag sucks. I like the piggyback idea but it seems half-assed. I know the WRX ecm can be reflashed and those are pretty cheap. I wonder what I would have to do to make the WRX unit work. Mayb...

I just need the trans for the wife's car and I would like to have an extra engine so I don't have to take my car down for too long for the swap.

The title is clear.

I would be fixing it if I didn't already have one.

Actually, I was going to get the stock 45deg box but I figured I could bend up some aluminum and pop rivet it to the box before I could find one. I reused the nut plate that attaches the MAF. Then I finished up with some black RTV.
I was going to fab up one out of fiberglass but I got lazy.

Here's my setup: modified air box and intake baffle delete. The lower half of the airbox is cut to match the hole in the fender for a little better breathing. Also, I used a rubber 90deg inlet that is very wide at the bend, it has way more area than the stock one. The MAF now maxes out at around 9 o...
