Manually controlling AWD?
It probably wouldnt even be a useful thing to do, but would it be possible to hack the AWD computer to allow you to manually set the power assignment?
I guess when it could be useful would be setting it to mostly rear wheel drive for hard fast straight acceleration (i.e. quarter mile)

Electronic Killswitch - Hack the ECU?
I wondering if it'd be possible to remove an essential component of the ECU and build it into a hard plug-in box that has a connector under the dash
The idea is that even someone who was experienced with hotwiring cars would not be able to start the car, since the computer would be non-functional.

Buying a used Legacy, what watch out for
I feel a little awkward asking since, since the fellow Im most likely buying from is on this board and will read this Nonetheless, even assuming he's being 100% honest with me (and I believe he is) he may have missed something accidently. When I go down to check it out and buy it, what should I look...

Anyone know about the procedure for that?
If I wanted to bus down across the border, buy a car and drive it back home. Insurance, duties, registration, what do I have to do?

It looks like it from that pic But since I wont get a chance to take a peak before I lay down the cash, it'd be nice to see some more pics for myself. I'm itching to just take out a loan and say yes right now, but I wanna get myself outta debt and make sure of my university situation before I get an...

Well I'm not gonna be ready to buy until the end of august/mid september, I was more trying to get a feel for prices, and an idea of where to go when the time comes. But, if you're still interested, would you mind taking a few good quality pics of the car, including any problems (I dont expect it to...

The issue for me is, how do I get there if its further away? I doubt my parents would be willing to drive me out, I suppose I might be able to find a friend who's up for a road trip... I'm also having a lot of trouble with there being SO MANY different places where people advertise their vehicles, a...

Just saying hi, and a couple quick questions
First post :D I drove a '91 Legacy Sedan all last summer, and this summer Ive been stuck in a 97 Mazda Protege (gutless :() Needless to say, I fell in love with that little subby. The time has come for me to start looking for my own car, and of course, I'd like a Sub. I'm trying to track down a '92 ...
