I finally found out what the hell this thing is for (useful)

I have been opening my hood and seeing this thing and always puzzled me. Then I was browsing the FSM and I saw an illustration. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kBaM-aqEZcw/Tk3GNercyaI/AAAAAAAACeI/OQGMgEwrIRU/s800/photo%2525201.JPG BEHOLD! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0nW4VDCSDM4/Tk3GNSMsn2I...

Re: Finally a real rwd option is in the works

We can't all be super smooth, "don't tip the water cup" drift samurais like you dude! I'm interested in RWD for rally stage rally too. So the beefier the better. Oh and I didn't see your car down at Formula drift, what gives? I would have liked to check it out and BS.

Re: You probably will think I'm crazy (ditching 2.2T)

Matt if you are going to stay in Open Light spend the time and energy putting a decent 2.5 in. It's not rocket science, or even aerospace engineering ;). You will be kicking yourself later if you do the 2.2... remember you have to compete against the guys who are going to be in lightened 2dr impreza...

4.11 gears are BAD ASS. 120 comes up REAL quick in my 4.11'd wagon. GLWS Mike.

Hey Matt welcome to the site. I saw the pic you took with the legacy next to the wrx in your garage on facebook, but do you have any more photos of the legacy yet? I doubt I will ever make it across the country to do any rallies out there, the US is too damn big! Maybe I would if gas was $1 per gall...

Interesting idea. I'm going to look into this. Boxing the trapezoid shaped mount that actually bolts to the trans seems like a interesting idea too. I'm going to play around under there this weekend...

Mike Yeah man those are them! They worked great! Consider yourself a premier parts supplier to Rad Racing!

Hey florin thanks! I noticed you have a svx ignitor for sale, what is that worth to you? And do you have any other svx engine junk? You too can become a premier parts supplier lol.

The back side is hacked up though. But yea outwardly it looks just fine. Brooklyn was a badass stage. Scary at the end.

Olympus 2011 so far. (We finished!) *Long, grab a beer*

It's time to race this thing. Check out biggreens rally build if you don't know the backstory. I'm here at the Olympus rally, came into rally town (ocean shores) late thursday after the 400 mile from the absolute other side of Washington, Pullman. My friend Charlie is codriving the rally and he pull...

Re: help with transmission and flywheel mismatch

Yeah I have 4.11 gears in the car now and while rad and fast, it is overkill now that I have a dedicated fun car. If I never drove on the interstate and only did city and mountain driving these gears would be perfect. But I make 300 mile road trips often and the mileage is poor. I would only conside...

Thread from the dead!

What I have learned from speeding besides be super nice to cops and make their job easy:
Build a rally car and enter a race, then you get 100-150 miles of closed stages to haul ass on.
