Re: Changing valve cover gasket (engine in) and what oil to

Also, if you have a EJ20, they are known for being a bit loud.

Just stick with the gasket no need for gasket maker. That is usually for the cams(half moons).

Re: Changing valve cover gasket (engine in) and what oil to

Yes, you can do the valve cover gaskets with the engine in the car. I have done both of mine that way. Get the whole kit from felpro or gates and you'll be good. It should comes with everything so double check. grommets for the bolts and valve cover gasket. As for oil, like Josh said. Oil for the mo...

Re: Mike's 92 SS

Also, developed some hesitation around 5k rpm. When I step on it, car pulls hard until that point, then backfires and I have to back off the throttle. Car is running super rich, and if I drive all freeway I'm lucky to get 20.x mpg. Well folks, this was foreshadowing for a bearing that was about to ...

Re: Silinc3r's 05 Legacy GT/SpecB update 03/2015

That's why I don't even bother going to car shows. My car is not bling enough and there are only a few people that actually know what it is and take the time to look at the mods. Most of the car shows I go to I expect not to place. However at a Subaru Mega Meet with a Legacy section, of course I'll...

Re: Silinc3r's 90 Miata Little update 02/2016

Got new gauges installed on the Miata from Adam @ revlimiter. Highly recommended if you have a Miata. It makes looking at the dash exciting and not boring. Also added a newer radio with blue tooth and DVD. Some old VDO gauges to give it an old school vibe. Added a rear trunk spoiler and rear lip. Ot...

Re: Silinc3r's 05 Legacy GT/SpecB update 02/2016

Realized I haven't updated and/or missed photos. So got some JDM tails and ov course they good damaged during shipment. Nothing a little hot glue, time and permanent marker couldn't fix. Also rewired/fabbed them so the top and bottom portion would be brake and DRL. Very bright when the brake is appl...

Keep that car as a DD and buy a turbo version. You'll be lad you haave a back up car for when you start upgrading. The conversion can be done but it isn't worth the hassle.
