+1 for the fuel injectors though that noise I hear most of the time even in the cabin.

+1 also for the seafoam. Its a must on an older car especially if your not sure of past maintenance and care.

If it does not grind in 2nd and 3rd and has fewer than 200k on it (as mine does) than yes I would call it an upgrade :-D

Hey SILENC3R, I may have told you about this before but.....you need to get signed on with wrxatlanta.com. It is one of the best local subaru forums around. They are very active in Georgia and host events constantly. You should really check it out if you want to test your mettle during a track day! ...

Also, you dont need to drain the clutch hydraulic system. You can pull the master through the fire wall and just wire it out of the way on the tranny somewhere. Just dont invert it or you will get air in the system and likely spill fluid.

My first: 1985 Renault Alliance, Navy, 5spd, If I got behind a rig on the highway I could actually hit 70mph! Shook like a mofo though. Never put a drop of oil in her for 2-1/2 years and then one day the engine seized up and that was that. The city of Baltimore took possession of her and held it hos...

Moderation is good, forethought is better, an ounce of friggin intelligence is best. I started at an early age, have a drink almost daily and seldom ever get wasted. My 21st was in fact one such time. Good friends, a taxi on retainer, and I was the only one without a hangover! Having said all that, ...

UPDATE: So I tore apart my hoses and connections and replaced suspect lines and secured fittings and clamps. There was a marginal improvement ie. I no longer stumble off the line and I can hit about 4psi at highway speeds in the higher gears. So of course you were all correct, I do have multiple lea...

Better flow will usually improve your mpg's a bit. There is not much to it. If you pull off the fender liner on the pass side you will see a series of connecting tubes running from the upper fender, where it mates to the resonator box, and down towards the ground. Pull all that out, also go ahead an...

The stock setup works great with a drop in filter. Just pull out the snorkus stuff, remove or open up your fender lining (I just removed mine), and open up the two holes where your intake box and fender mate up. You should be very happy with the results.

Dont know about the filter. The pump is rather quiet so I feel confident that the issue isnt there. I did swab out the TB but did not mess with the MAF. I used a thin coat of RTV black on the TB and IAC seats and went over all of the hose connections to the MUG, BOV and IC. From what you all have be...

Watch out for that "all models" bit. Bracing on a n/a is different than a turbo due to exhaust routing.
