I just recently put a BOV on my car and now it's real hesitant on boost

Before the BOV installation is was semi hesitant, but it got worse after i put the bov on.

could it be something inside the bov that is lose. I did get it from a friend used.

My first car was a 1982 Jaguar XJ6... traded it for my legacy wagon and 500 bucks cash.

bump for opinions on having the BOV come off the intercooler piping a few inches

It's probably flashing steadily then i haven't looked at the codes for a week or two now. but yeah ive turned off the ignition, connected the green plug, and turned the ignition on like you say and it does nothing but just blink. No codes. It's weird how the light just comes on only when on the high...

So should i connect the connector while the car is running or shut it off, because i have done it while the car is shut off then did the whole code check thing and i get 5 fast blinks consistantly

Now second question, Does the BOV have to be right on the pipe or could i maybe have it like 6 inches off the pipe so i could actually fab a bracket to mount it to my firewall or whatever i mount it to? I received a blowoff valve from a friend and am wanting to put it on my car, already have front mount and i'm wondering does it matter where at on the piping it goes, should it be closer to the turbo, closer to the throttle body, or in the middle somewhere?

yeah i cant even count how many times ive done it, works terrific only coolant that gets spill is at the heater core. and if you're quick you wont even spill that much.

I can't say i have a touring wagon, BUT my car has went from FWD AT NA to AWD 5MT NA to TURBO AWD 5MT :\ & did it almost all by myself, had alot of words of wisdom from frantic four and my buddies Jake $ Kris and bought some parts from them as well.

I don't plan on doing too much yet as far as big injectors or turbo. Maybe for me a chip that would support just a tdo4 and legacy turbo injectors would be fine. i would be more into the chip specifically to raise the fuel cut and factory boost level
