Re: dramatic city vs freeway mileage difference.. tranny?

Turbo or L?

In my turbo I always got 25.5 highway going Pullman to Seattle and back. I get 17-18 city for mostly suburbs.

Re: How hard to add push-button starter?

Easy, just need to wire it up so that the ignition gets power when you push the button, instead of when you turn the key all the way. Am I correct to assume the key turns two clicks just fine but is difficult to turn once you actually go to start it? Google may be your best resource for this, should...

Ej22t, would be the cheapest and easiest worthwhile swap. Alternatively look for an ej20 of some variant, most Subaru swaps will be fairly straightforward anyway

1. Wire up amp to speakers 2. Turn on and find out only two speakers are working 3. Adjust settings on amp so that all 4 channels are on 4. Turn on and find out only 3 speakers are working 5. Mess around with polarity 6. Blow fuse 7. Decide it's not worth the effort 8. Reconnect speakers directly to...

I love it on that silver car. I wouldn't want it blended smoothly with the doors though, always looks weird, and these cars are plain enough as it is so I think they need something there.

Just a shot in the dark, but I'd imagine if equal length was more beneficial then the manifold would be equal length. But if it fits you could try it, can't hurt.

Re: Suspension options for a 92 ej22t sedan

If it rubs it's not STi suspension, stock STi gives you about stock ride height. And because of that pretty much anything for a WRX up to 07 or an '04 STi will fit with minimal modification. I've ran STi and loved it, stiffens things up nicely but doesn't ride too harsh, I got a crazy deal on JIC co...

Re: My car just fell apart in 5 minutes

Okay replaced both cables and now it works. But now I gotta figure out why my blinkers aren't working. Every time I do something on this car I'm reminded of how shittily thought out every little bit is. Now I get to take it all apart for the third time, hooray! EDIT: Not sure what I did but it all w...

Re: everyone should read this! stop the h8t3rz

I've found the exact opposite: usually the only people I can even halfway level with in the Subaru community own WRXs... it's the STi people that I can't stand. But there are people like that in every profession and every hobby. In no way am I a professional photographer, but there are people I kno...

Re: Pre and post facelift? Whats the diff?

The silver facelift model with the gold wheels has an aftermarket front bumper.

Biggest thing you'll notice is the headlights and tail lights, but the front bumper, hood, and fenders are different as well, probably among other things.

Re: vehicle speed sensor

The speed sensor is in the dash on the first gen legacies. It sounds like that is fine. Your problem is the cable. Fix the cable, and your CEL/code will go away. What do you mean? There is most certainly a speed sensor in my transmission, I just looked at it a couple days ago. I guess if you wanna ...

Re: My car just fell apart in 5 minutes

Well for $36, and something that commonly goes bad, I'll just buy one, it's clearly not new, so F it. The cable does spin freely in the bottom section of the cable, the foot or so that goes into the tranny. It also seems like the connection between that cable and the long section is pretty loose. Bu...

Well, I found it and took it out, and it seems to be in tact, I'm thinking about just buying a new assembly just to see if that fixes it since it seems to be about $36 if I'm looking at the right part...

One problem though is I'm not entirely sure what transmission is in the car...
