I modified oem 2.0 wrx head gaskets, I should have gone thicker. oh well..next time. combustion chambers lined...

Re: ej20 with ej22t heads
So the 2.o wrx gaskets are a perfect fit.....but.... block 2 little square hole tot and center of the combustion chambers and also two very small holes near the bottom outside edge. Anything to worry about?? They seem to be a better fit and line up much better than the aftermarket 22t head gaskets

ok thanks. i think the 2.0 gaskets/bore will match the ej22t heads wellAlphius wrote:Yes, you really should match the head gasket to the cylinder bore. Also make sure the combustion chamber won't at any point be larger than the bore.

Re: time to upgrade my upgrade - 92 ls 2.2e turbo to 2.2t
The 02-05 WRX and 04-07 single AVCS STI use a 10mm pump like our SS. So that's what you should get. Later STI's and other cars used larger pumps. Subaru Part # 15010AA108 supersedes to 15010AA300 Here's a link to more discussion about oil pumps: http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=...

Re: time to upgrade my upgrade - 92 ls 2.2e turbo to 2.2t
I recommend you do some reading on adding a higher volume oil pump when it's not needed. There are several threads/posts on here and on NASIOC about adding the 11 or 12 mm oil pump to motors that don't have AVCS. The added flow of the pump can cause it to run in bypass and cause frothing and oil st...
