Your hose should work fine. Ive been using radiator hose for months now without problems, and it sees 11-12 psi.

I also have the usdm wrx intercooler setup. I kept the a/c and used both inlets. I made an adapter which allows me to plumb the stock bypass valve back to the intake. It seems like a year ago these were easy to come by, now I'm having a heck of a time finding one, now that I have the money Anybody know where I can find one or does somebody here have one for sale?

I just did a similar swap with the EJ22t in my 95 Impreza. I paid $2100 for the engine, x-member, (almost) complete wiring harness, ecu, wrx downpipe/turbo/intercooler setup. why only 96 or earlier?I'm talking about 02' + wrx's.if I change the turbo to a wrx td04 and then use the wrx intercooler then I would have the right angle right?I know you need the early 93-96 tmic if you dont change the stock legacy turbo to have the same angle.the new wrx i/c's are going for les...

Well, I discovered what the problem was the other day. There was a bad ground connection where the engine wiring harness meets the front harness behind the battery. It starts and runs great now that its fixed. Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions.
