Re: Muffler option for people looking - Magnaflow

Here is a crappy video. Can catch the tone off the start and through First Gear. Second Gear fades out quick unfortunately. I really like the tone!

Muffler option for people looking - Magnaflow

I was searching around for just a muffler to put onto my car and found more info on complete exhaust systems and their fitment. For those just wanting to find a muffler; this may help. Here are the four set-ups I have had with the final listing being what I have now and like a lot as far as the tone...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

Finally installed keyless entry. Surprised at how easy the install was. Putting it on the SVX next! I've got a viper keyless entry and the door actuator for my 93, but I've been scared to mess with the wiring. Was it really that easy? I bought a very bare bones kit off ebay for $25. 4 actuators the...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

Put some new tires on a different set of stock wheels I somehow found relatively local and plasti-dipped most of the car. Been a nice transformation.

Re: Whiteline End Links & Stock Bar (Rear)

I got you. Looks like I shot myself in the foot on this one. I should have asked some questions about the lateral links. Thanks for the info and taking the confusion out of this. At least the next time around I know these will come out easy!

Re: Whiteline End Links & Stock Bar (Rear)

The links I bought were listed to fit these models: Impreza WRX STi GDA GDB GC8 GC6 93-07. I was searching for something that would fit a "GC" from what I had read. The front links are stock and are not adjustable. I am not sure if I would be able to get the front links out as I tested the...

Re: Whiteline End Links & Stock Bar (Rear)

I left the front links alone. I brought it in for an alignment right after install and they said they could only get that side within a half a degree with it tightened all the way up. No problems with the driver side which I found strange. The whole car feels a little off so I might try an alignment...

Re: Whiteline End Links & Stock Bar (Rear)

Do you happen to have the product number for the legacy specific bar, Mike? If not I can google it as well.

Also, is there a big difference between the alloy whiteline end links and stock links?

Re: Whiteline End Links & Stock Bar (Rear)

I was hoping to not have to put down the cash for a new bar. Figured I'd post and let people know the stock bar will rub on the updated end links. Looks like I get to add one more thing to the list. Thanks for the reply!

And holy crap there are some miles on your car!! Awesome to see.

Whiteline End Links & Stock Bar (Rear)

Just figured I'd post up my results from my conversion from the regular, vertical end links ('91-'92 I believe) to the "C" style end links. I wanted to keep my stock bar and upgrade my end links because my stock bushings were completely blown out. I upgraded my rear lateral links in order ...

Re: VF28 without engine management

Thanks Alphius! Well, I went ahead and dropped the VF28 back in to see if in fact the seals were compromised from all of the oil that was leaking through as a result of my frozen pcv lines. I am happy to report that these seals are very resilient and I have driven about 15 miles so far with zero lea...

Re: 06-07 tmic install woes

Intercooler looks awesome. Glad it is in and the AC line is cleared. I also had the same deal as you and it turned out to be a leak at one of the joints on the y-pipe. Everything looked and felt fine but just needed to be readjusted. Definitely a pain the first few times installing.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

I like that you still have the turbo chimney on your car GTEASER. Wish my car had come with one. I got my alignment and they said they were able to get the new driver side lateral link adjusted to spec but couldn't adjust the passenger side link far enough and I am half a degrees off. No big deal I ...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

My steering wheel is off about 10 degrees to the left now. Was fine before I worked on it. I am bringing it in for an alignment tomorrow so I will know for sure then. If all is good I will pop the wheel off and re-align it. Thanks for the advice!

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

Quick question: Will my steering wheel be off a bit if my alignment is screwed up in the back? If you mean, will your steering wheel not be centered properly, then no it shouldn't be affected by how the rear is setup. That's not what I was hoping the answer would be! Every fix seems to start a mini...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

I finally finished the job from hell. Passenger side lateral link bolt came out fine but then the driver side struck. And by struck I mean stuck. Finally started putting it together tonight and realized the stock sway bar doesn't work with the Whiteline end links. Had to get a longer bolt and some b...

Re: Larger Wheel and Tire Fitment thread

I just tried mounting 225/50/17's, +55 offset, on my car with KYB's all around and it was a no go on all levels. Probably going to stick with 15's on the next try with an offset closer to 40 and a beefier tire.

Re: VF28 without engine management

I am 21 days in and have had trips up to 130 miles of hard driving in -20 to -30 degree weather and all the way up to 60 degrees. I believe all of the elements for failure had presented itself throughout the last 21 days and the turbo hasn't leaked a drop. I am happy to report there is no signs of o...
