Re: Confusing Issue/s
I have an IAC you're welcome to try. I'll throw it in with those struts. It worked fine best I could tell when I had it but I haven't run it recently. But it's at least free :). I also have a spare BCS that I'll never use. It's missing the connector (it's the one from the Radio Flyer) but you can ha...

Re: WTB: 04 sti struts/springs
Kimo's a good guy and good to do business with. I'm not sure what the spring rate of the perrin springs are so I cannot make an accurate comparison to the STi springs. I'm running stiffer than STi springs on my car so a comparision from it to the Radio Flyer intially probably doesn't mean much. That...

Re: WTB: 04 sti struts/springs
I don't have what you're looking for - though I do have new rear STi top-hats. But, just in case you were interested - I do still have the old setup from when you owned the Radio Flyer. For $200 they'd be yours. Just something to consider. And if you're interested - then consider this a friendly bum...

How crtical is tire rotation direction?
Well I'm slowly getting my car tuned out. It's taking a bit but I'm getting there - I'm way rich right now but I'd rather replace plugs and oil than pistions... Anywho, I'm ready to put on my new rims that already have tires mounted. The tires are not new - have some wear but I cannot effectively de...

Re: Need expert opinions/info on car and A/C system knowledg
Well, if you're swapping everything then I would think it would work fine. You'll want to make sure to cap off all the lines after you open them up to keep any debris from getting in there. And you'll of course have to pull a vacuum and recharge the system once it's all back and installed. The conde...

Re: What all should I replace?
Matt, sounds like you have a decent start.
Refreshing seals can add up quickly. But if your budget allows and you haven't already done it - I would highly recommend replacing all your vacuum lines. Nice new flexible lines seal a lot better.
BTW - you making it out to auto-x at the end of July?

Re: No Load Fuel Cut??
Thanks for the response. I know what cars typically do, but I was wanting to verify what our cars do. From your experience it sounds like that our cars will shut off fuel completely. Does anybody else have any other thoughts, comments, or experiences with out cars? Also, still wandering about what o...

No Load Fuel Cut??
I'm working on getting my car all tuned out and getting my AFR's where I want them. High load tuning is going well (AFR's stay in the low/mid 11's dipping into the 10's a little) but I'm having some trouble with the lower load and cruise load. One item of particular I've noticed and thought I'd ask ...

This is an odd request - I need all the bolts that hold the passenger seat in. I can't find mine for love or money and I need to get my seat in. So, do you have the bolts and do you think you can get them to me by Sat.? I have paypal ready if the price is reasonable :). All of this of course depande...

Re: She runs and drives!
I just auto-x. Speeds stay relatively low (on occasion I'll bounce off the limiter in 2nd) and where I race is pretty risk free in terms of spinning out or sliding off track. I used to rally hard on the forest roads and 'open track' some of the others late at night but I had enough times I almost ki...

Re: She runs and drives!
Thanks. I've been enjoying a night of fast and the furious and mentally sorting out my tune. Life's good as they say... Sadly, I won't be as WSCC. I've got a lot on the plate as is and aside from getting ready for racing (missed half the season already) I need to get myself back in shape for a late ...

I know I've got plenty of tuning and work still to go yet - but - after sitting dormant since Nov. I drove my baby for the first time today! It was glorious :-D I didn't get on boost at all, my idle's way too high (around 1.6k), there's clearly some things I need to sort out on the MAFT-Pro tune. Bu...

Re: Idle air injestion, g/sec?
Well that's what I'm hoping someone can give me or they can plug in one of Vikash's tools and tell me what it says at idle . I would do this myself except I've converted to a speed density system and no longer have a MAF.
But yes, if I had a voltage I could back out the injestion.

Re: Idle air injestion, g/sec?
Todd, thanks for the reply.
4.8 g/sec seems really low to me. Maybe it isn't, but 4.8g is not much at all. I just want to be sure the value I put in is correct so I don't lean it way out at idle.
Any other inputs?

Idle air injestion, g/sec?
I'm working on setting up some of the values in my fuel tune and I have some options for idle conditions. One of them is a MAF limit that limits the signal sent to the ECU. This is based off air intake at idle.
So, in gram/second, how much air do our motors roughly injest during idle?
Thank you.

Quick WG Solenoid Question
I'm now getting into tuning my car - I fired her up Tuesday and she runs :-D - but I still have a couple of loose ends I need to tie up before I actually get on the street and really start the tuning process. One of these items is the wastegate solenoid operation. When I was cleaning up my engine ba...

Re: To all you suspension gurus... I need your help
It was late last night and my mind skipped a beat... the 04' STi's are tapered. I'm running 04' STi struts but with different springs. Last night I'd forgotten that I swapped my new strut tops in place of the stock 04' STi mounts (I bought the struts assembled). The ones I swapped in were brand new ...

Re: To all you suspension gurus... I need your help
There are really two main things about Subaru springs and fitment - height and taper. Height only matters for ride height, this is a tailor to suit issue depending on personal preference. Spring taper is what counts as far as making things fit. The 90-91' have rear springs that taper in diameter, i....

Re: IAT Placement - EJ20H manifold, where?
Dan, I have an extra IAT that I do plan on putting just after the turbo. It hasn't happened yet and I've got to calibrate the IAT from the MAFT-Pro to the Zeitronix's but later this year I will actually be doing some data logging on how effective the water injection really is at cooling. And I'm als...
