Re: Chirp chirp chirp what could it be??

Sounds like you have some metal rubbing together somewhere. Since it looks like it does it sitting there idling you could get the front end up in the air and climb around underneath and maybe close in on it's location.

Re: ESL Board for USDM 1st Gen Turbo Legacies

I don't know if this might help or is relevant as far as the maf flow goes. I always understood that the plastic maf flowed better than the metal one on our cars and it plugs right in. The problem was the ecu wasn't set up to run it, but with this esl board I would think it pretty easy to adjust for...

Subaru rebuilt shafts

I am getting conflicting info from 2 local dealers about the Subaru rebuilt front half shafts. One dealer says he has them in stk and the other says they aren't available. I figured you guys would know off the bat. My car is a manual.

He hasn't gotten back to me about this. If I remember right 2 of the manifolds were red and looked like they were unbolted and lifted off the engines as were the other 2.

Version 4 and 5 gc8 intake manifolds and ej-20g heads

I am posting this for a friend who is moving and doesn't want to move this stuff and doesn't have the time to mess with it. He has about 4 manifold setups for the version 4 and 5 gc8s. The ej-20g heads and manifold setup he wants $250 for shipping not included.

EJ22t shortblock for sale

This one will need some crank repair as it looks like the pulley bolt was loose at some time and the threads need attention as well as the key way. Came out of a 93 IIRC and don't recall the mileage.

Re: Left front caliper sticking.

If your brake lines are original I would replace them. With age they can collapse on the inside and not release pressure. I speak from experience. Good time to upgrade to stainless braided hoses.

I tried again using the link that you sent and I got a message that it had gone through, but haven't heard anything back. Guess I could use snail mail or just find some one to custom make it.

Re: aluminum coolant expansion tank?

For some reason my emails to them don't go through. Looking to find someone to custom make one. I have one of the wrx tanks, but I don't like the rerouting and relocating stuff. An aluminum tank would mount up like stock and I would be rid of the plastic tank then.

aluminum coolant expansion tank?

I would like to find an aluminum coolant expansion tank that bolts in place of the stock piece. Anytime I unbolt my repaired stocker I fear another broken nipple and I would like to get to the ground point on the manifold behind the tank. When I searched there was mention of MRT. Are they it for thi...

Re: Euro legacy headlight bulb question

I have 4 h4 headlights that I would love to put an led bulb in, but I have heard too many bad things about the patterns. If you come up with a good one I will have to check it out. You also are probably the person to answer this question that I have about led's. With incandescent bulbs you always he...

Passenger side footwell light

Just wondering if anyone can confirm that there is a passenger side footwell light on our cars. The manual shows what I think is one, but I can't find one. Replaced the drivers side with an led and thought I would do the same with the other side, but I can't find one and don't ever remember seeing t...

I think it could be done off a temp sensor in the water line or a boost sensor that would trigger the high speed with a time delay so it would keep running for a set time after getting out of the boost. I kind of like the idea of a 2 speed pump so there isn't the drag on the charging system all the ...

Re: Starter won't spin and fans cycle on

When I turned off the defrost the fans stayed off and no the diag connectors are not hooked up. I got it going by charging the battery. Even after charging it still didn't take off until a few tries and has been fine since.

Re: Starter won't spin and fans cycle on

i cleaned them when I rebuilt the transmission, but that doesn't mean anything really. Went from starting fine to dead overnight. I am wondering if it doesn't have a dead spot in it. I might try smacking it with a hammer and see what happens.

Starter won't spin and fans cycle on

This morning my wife came in and said the car wouldn't start. Took the charger out and hooked it up and I can hear the solenoid kicking in, but the starter doesn't even try to spin. The odd thing is the fans cycle when she turns the key on. I think I just thought of why the fans are doing that. She ...

Re: Best odyssey battery

I have been using a pc680 for years, but did have some issues which could be caused by the underdrive pulley I have on the crank. Talking with one of their engineers it sounded like it was slowly being discharged to where it wouldn't crank the car. It wouldn't even make a click. Touch the posts with...
