The power can be sourced from the original coil pack(wasted spark) power wire. This can be branched to 4 individual wires leading to each new 4 individual coils(COP).

Re: Wideband sensor location

From the haltech website: Broadly speaking there are two different types of O2 sensor available, wideband and narrowband. Both sensors have their place in tuning an engine, narrowband sensors are designed to be used in conjunction with a catalytic converter. In brief a catalytic converter works on a...

Re: Pnp standalone

The haltech PnP harness uses the same 4 plug ECU connections found in the legacy, however it's wired for an ej20g ECU. For this to work you will need to adapt the ej22t harness to work with an ej20g ECU. Following the steps for a RobTune ECU install will be the same. Haltech provides wiring diagrams...

I think most importantly you need to keep in mind what you or your tuner is familiar with and capable of working with. The haltech elite 1500 is an extremely powerful tuning software and capable of virtually everything imaginable. Haltech also has awesome customer support between north America and A...

Re: Possible rob tune issues. Not sure if related but big is

I would first check to make sure your firing orientation is correct. The car can run without a tps, cts, or knock hooked up. There is a procedure to follow in the F.S.M. to get the t.ps. correctly adjusted, if you search this forum you can gain access to the f.s.m , I can't remember exactly but it'...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

Been working on my GF's car the last couple days, what started as just a leaky rear main seal repair turned into a complete rebuild. Basically whoever put there hands on this motor before me had no idea what the hell they were doing and in turn killed the motor. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4787/2...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?

The heater in my 1997 Impreza OBS had been very noisy and didn't blow very well since I purchased it in October. Then the other day the fan power level control stopped working except in the high position. I diagnosed the blower motor as being a worn out bearing and the fan control as being a fail...

Re: Fuel cut after 25% throttle??

Thanks everyone for your input! A few things; firstly I'm picking up a knock sensor in a few minutes and will replace it before I retry running the engine since attempting to reset the codes by disconnecting the battery for more than an hour. Also, I will clean the maf and try to find this pressure...

Re: Fuel cut after 25% throttle??

Generally diagnosing codes I always start with the lowest number code and work up. It's very likely the knock sensor is the only problem and causing a multi code fault. It maybe the knock sensor wiring is the culprit causing intermittent readings in check mode.

Went to the junk yard this morning to look for a legacy turbo badge and came out with a 22t short block. The badge was missing from the car unfortunately, but I have another closed deck short block for my collection.

Yeah...good work. :smt023 I wonder if the FSM would be for the following year? Was '96 a transition year for the JDM/EDM/AUDM versions? I have NO experience w/either COP nor the next gen of the EJ20xx ('96+ EJ20K ?). But if the FSM's are translated, would that explain some of the errors? Or just 'h...
