Hey Nico,

That's with the stock EJ22T pistons, right? What's it like off boost?

So much to think about... This is making me reconsider the plan to stick V3 heads on my turbo block later this year.

Nico, I read somewhere that you have to use the EJ22T headgasket, because the stock pistons come up past the top of the block a bit.

Haha. Yeah, people told me to just put a bigger turbo on it and turn up the boost, and not worry about it.

Have you worked out what the compression ratio will be? I did some math one day, and I came up with 7.4:1. I don't remember what heads I used though.

What headgasket are you going to use?

I might be doing something similar later this year, which is why I ask.

Don't the chips you guys can get also raise the fuel cut, to account for the increased boost? You might want to give a look through http://www.rslibertyclub.org/forums/index.php, as they have experience with reprogramming the ECU.

I say plug both ends until you can fix it, but don't leave it more than a day or 2.

Someone may disagree, but you probably don't have much choice.

Or, if you've got a larger piece of hose that'll fit over the end of the hard plastic one, use that to connect the 2.

Its a 12mm nut and lock washer under a rubber boot on the back of the starter. Kind of a pain to get to, but possible... If you've got a ratching wrench, that'd be ideal.

No need... You'll get some pour out, but most of it will be in the pan below the level of the pump.

I'm thinking the small toothed and smooth ones that direct the timing belt... Or the tensioner.

But the water pump doesn't, the oil pump doesn't, the cams don't.

Only other thing I can think of is that its someone's idea of a joke, and they just shoved a bunch into the bottom of the timing cover...

The only things I can think of are the timing belt pulleys. Should be pretty easy to find the affected on once the timing belt is off.

After bending one because it was up in a long drive in freezing rain, I put a small switch in the line from the headunit to the antenna. I like being the one to decide when the antenna's up or not. I can usually find a strong enough station with the antenna down when necessary. (Early mornings = lot...

I will also add I do get some flutter, but I'm running a Brullen 3" bellmouth. Part of it sounds like the wastegate simply doing its thing, but the sound is amplified by the big downpipe, so that its noticeable.

I've added a relatively light helper spring, and the ECU was cool with me making 10 psi because of it. I've been meaning to readjust it now that I've added the intercooler, so I can get back to 10.

I've got one on the passenger side. Ran the hose that connected to the driver's side of the engine underneath the intake manifold and over to where it originally connected. The hose that connects to the turbo has a gradual bend back against the firewall, and then up to the tank. I made a small brack...
