Yeah, the chrome is peeling on them, but I don't see why you couldn't scrape the rest of it off and spray some chrome paint on the backs of them or something like that :-)

If I remember correctly, in Canada you can import JDM cars as long as they're 15 years old. Wish we could do that here

Well, found out earlier that the GT isn't happening. Not now anyway. I'm gonna need a co-signer, and I don't have anyone I can trust that has good enough credit. Went and got all excited for nothing :x I'll just save my money for a couple months to have a nice down payment, maybe that'll change thin...

You're looking at the wrong bolt there. What you want is the upper one, just underneath the belt cover. The one you have circled actually holds that pulley on the tensioner

It was a trade in at a local Toyota dealership. It was spotless, and I checked for all the usual crap like that. Everything seems to be in order there. Looks like the day it was new.

This was on a 93 Impreza, but I would assume that it would also apply here. Anyway, my girlfriend's Impreza somehow lost the right side fender liner, and I thought she'd be fine without it for a couple days until the weekend when I could install the spare I picked up. That whole week it had been rai...

All he told me about my credit was that I was in tier 2, with tier 1 being best. Surprised the hell out of me though :D I'll do what I have to to be able to bring this car home without a co-signer. Even if I have to borrow the down payment money from a friend, but I need the damn car. :D Never went ...

May be getting an '05 GT

Went to go see it today. It's a 2005 Legacy GT sedan with a manual tranny. Silver, and has 33,700 miles on it. So I take it out on the road, and the first thing the dealer says to me is, 'just try to keep it under 100'. So I get on the highway, and I gotta say I'm impressed with the 5th gear acceler...

I kinda like the new taillights for the wagons. I prefer the lens to be clear with an amber bulb like that. The new grill is kinda crappy looking, a little too big for me. The headlights aren't that bad, but is the projector a little bigger on the new ones? I thought it was just my eyes before, but ...

True. Dead spots are usually from the brushes being worn out internally. You can get to it faily easily from the top. During the engine pull I remeber that it came out pretty easy compaired to other cars I have done it on. *Cough* american cars... Good luck Yeah, with my Legacy it was real easy goi...

I'd say if you're up for the drive, take it down to Tom (svxfiles) in WV for sure. From what I've heard, he's done something like 30 some SVX exhausts, and when it comes to SVXi, he knows his shit. If you go down there, you won't be disappointed :D

Nice. Are those Hella 500's I spy? I'm hoping that I can get myself an RS when I got a nice chunk saved up. I make sure to test drive every last one I see for sale, which fortunately they've all been at different dealers :D I've found that they've got a completely different feel from other Imprezas ...
