Re: 1993 Touring Wagon 5mt swapped, mods, no rust $4000
the trans is out of a gc impreza. i used it because it had the right diff ratio of 3.9 that would match the rear VLSD diff I had. it shifts fine also. never launched or beat on.

1993 Touring Wagon SOLD
I'm losing interest in my touring wagon as well as fast cars in general and wanting to go in a different direction automotive wise. You can have the rare opportunity to buy a rust free, low mileage, 5mt swapped touring wagon. If you know what that is then you know how rare it is. I'll take $4000 for...

fwiw my post bpv plumbing is rigged from clear plastic tubing and elbows, zip tied connections with no blow off(no pun intended). stock boost tho. ditto on clamping the pressure side.

Re: Saving a 1993 Touring Wagon
the timing belt snapped the other day while I was on the west seattle bridge. was able to coast into the parking lot of a business down on 1st. then while I was figuring out how to get it back home, the car was towed. $312 and a scary tow strap ride home Ive got it blown apart again. seems like i on...

Re: Saving a 1993 Touring Wagon
AWIC and VF10 in and running. pretty tough install. the cars been down for months. definitely not into doing anymore mods for a while. Charge pipe is a silicone straight 2" coupler, a chunk of 2" pipe with a hose barb epoxied into it, a 2" 90* elbow, and 4 t bolt clamps. BOV piping is...

Re: UHEV Legacy Version 2.0
A Miller Dynasty 200 would fit the bill nicely, but they start at $3800 and the tits watercooled package is $5500  . They are small and can be put on a shelf when done using it, being only 45 lb. Inverter welders are ftw. A Syncrowave 200 or 250 would work fine too, but they require availabl...

Re: Where can I get this hose from?
i think your best bet is to make a new one from hardware store parts- some braided PVC tubing and an elbow. the pvc tubing is more oil resistant than heater hose and cheaper to boot.

was it one of the filters that has to be oiled? if so the filter oil could have contaminated the MAF which definitely could cause a motor to not rev above a certain point.

Re: Sensor in my AWIC reservior ( WTF?)
Mine runs all the time and is setup on the key ignition. You can try and get all fancy with the temperature, but the thing to remember with the AWIC is that the air temperature from the turbo can increase very rapidly. The water temperature does not increase or decrease as rapidly. But depending on...

Re: Sensor in my AWIC reservior ( WTF?)
on the topic of AWIC's and wiring, what is the best way to wire up the pump? I thought about trying to include a temp sensor and relay but it seems like too much extra effort for little if any gain. so, toggle switched, ignition, or? for ignition what would be a good wire to tap into?

also you can double nut 2 14mm head nuts on a short 14mm bolt which you probably have lying around. then in a 14mm socket of course.
