I bought those 5 minute polish pads from advanced auto, and I was impressed. I used one pad per headlight, you just have to be careful for the three plastic pieces that stick up from the surface of the headlight, they get in the way. After I used the pads, there was some light pitting on the headlig...

Thanks, I kinda thought it was weird that only code 35 flashed while I was driving. I'll post a wanted ad for a new sensor. Yah, code 11 kinda seemed dumb to me since I'm driving the car, which was another reason I was hoping to clear the codes. Thanks for the help, I'll report back if all gets fixe...

Stupid Codes.. Help?
I hate to ask these questions cause I know they're all over the boards, but I'm stumped. For my weekend project I decided to attack my CEL light. I get codes 11, 22, 23, and 35. I thought I'd start with 22 after reading a thread that said 23 might go away after I fixed it. I got a new knock sensor f...

Difference between the shifter versions?
I've been reading up a lot on the shifter and the mods for it, and I noticed that my shifter is different than the others. I did some searching of the boards to find out what all is different, but I can't come up with anything. So far what I see is that in 90 and 91, the 5 speed cars had a shifter t...

No alarm on the car, the drivers door won't even lock (that's the next project) I played with the wipers a bit more, and you're right, it does exactly that. It's interesting though that even though it kills the stereo, it doesn't trigger the wipers which leads me to wonder how much initial vo...

I assumed there was a cap in the stereo too just because the older cheaper CD player didn't have this problem. However, when i took my voltage readings, it was from the factory harness, I didn't even have the stereo hooked up at that point. It's coming from the car (which I don't think subaru instal...

Stereo works! I decided to get a new Metra harness (had a hard time finding one, best buy seems to be the only place that still has them). I put the new harness in, found a short in one of the speakers, fixed that and it works wonderfully. Still wonder about the delayed shut down after I take out th...

I've got stereo problems
I've read all the old threads and see others have had the same problem as I do, but no one has really found any answers, so I'll ask again. My '90 Legacy had a cheap Jenson cd player in it, so I decided to replace it. I took it out, and wired up my nice Panasonic deck. After it was all said and done...

Need a fix! Shift knob and shaft pull off!?
I have a 90 Legacy L, and the shift knob keeps coming off. The shifter is a bit different than the pictures of the shifters I've seen on here. The shifter is 2 parts, the first part which ends in a rubber shaft, and then the rest of the shifter which goes over that and then has the threads for the s...
