i think most any 15" subaru wheels should fit including forester wheels, you can get them on ebay pretty cheap. Word of advice, don't go to discount tire and get generic wheels - they aren't even round!

that sounds good. My alloys have a shyte load of brake dust/corrosion on the back side. I have found it to be nearly impossible to get it off, and most likely inhaled significant amounts of brake dust in the process. In any case 25-30 per wheel is begining to sound pretty good for cleaning and quali...

nah, i don't think i can afford the powdershiznit. the wheels i bought are turbo wheels. the paint is fine, it's that clear coat around the outer diameter of the wheel that is corroded. looks like mold is growing on the wheelz. (not sure which one of you sold em to me, but i really like em.) i'll pr...

205/60 r15 on an NA

anybody ever put 205/60r15s on a N/A legacy? I've seen em on a turbo wagon, but poeple have said turbos have less clearance issues.

clicking

I've heard several people descibe the sound of a worn out cv axle as a clicking. I have been hearing a clicking sound on occation, mostly just before coming to a stop. Seems like i hear it mostly when i have to stop hard for a light. I'm wondering if that cv joint with the leaky boot could be going ...

blizzaks?

ever tried blizzaks? I heard they were good, kinda pricey though. they got some cheap snows at peerless called winterforce, they look like they would work well. i almost got a pair but opted to just get a pair of toyo all seasons. figured it would be cheaper in the long run. those nordfrost 3s do lo...

manual tranny level

why can't i get my manual tranny oil to the right level? it's too low, i put in 1/4 quart, now it's too high. anybody know how much it takes to go from L to F? so the car should be on level ground when checking the level, but my front end rides much higher than the rear(GR2s). should i just park on ...

snow tires

I've had snow tires, they are nice, if you can afford it. I live in colorado. I worked at a ski resort thats about 20 miles from my house last year. I had nothing but a nice new set of dunlop sp sport A2s. Never encountered any problems. My driveway is about half a mile long, steep, unplowed. I've m...

I heard the same thing about that seal. But i think if you just do the seal and not the O ring behind it, then you don't have that issue with the diff. But realisticly, if i decide to try and do the clutch, then I'd prolly just take the transmission in and have them do all those seals and o rings. I...

thanks for the suggestions. looks like i have a leaky seal where the right axle meets the transmission (I had the transmission over-filler for like a year cause i'm retarded) and I need a new clutch. So maybe i'll just wait, replace those seals and o-rings on the transmission when i put in a new clu...

leaky CV boot

I have a cv boot that is still intact, but all the grease seems to be leaking out. It's been this way more than a year. I'm gonna play with it this afternoon, see if maybe that metal band is loose. Do you think that joint should be cleaned and repacked with grease?

hey ciper, You know, I think i might try that pipe thing on my car (GR2's got it all funked up). I think i want the rear about 3/4" higher than it is. If i put 3/4" of pipe in, will that be about right, or might it raise the car more? Oh, it seems like with the pipe in there it would reduc...

slightly less body roll, significantly less understeer. I'd prolly notice a bigger difference if i had lower profile tires. right now i'm using 195/70R14. Nice for bumpy roads, add some roll on pavement. Once i get some 15"alloys i'll prolly use 205/60, hopefully i can get some wheels cheap on ...

well thanks for all the help. So i ended up just putting on the 16mm standard bar and the hollow control arms. just couldn't bare the thought of putting bent control arms on my car. The end links don't seem to have nearly as much slop as on the turbo bar, so i might be better off. plus those control...

Thanks for the input guys! So josh, do you use speed bleeders? And what do you use in addition to speed bleeders to get out that stubborn air? Do you just bleed normally with the hose and bottle, opening and closing?
