Here's is my "coffee can" mod. I used an exhaust coupler I matched up at NAPA that is about perfect. Walker Part # 41974. Has pretty much the right inlet and outlet and is about 3/4" longer than the factory plastic piece(I didn't cut mine yet but it is not necessary) and I used a 90* black pipe fitting with a 1/2'' threaded piece and welded the 90* in the coupler with my mig. So for under $20 you can have your own coffee cup mod with minimal work. Enjoy!

so, what is the purpose of said mod other than cool noises?
Blue 94GT dead and steadily parting out.
Silver 93 Fwd N/A sedan undergoing repairs
93 Winestone TW project
92 SS scrapped by my landlord...

It removes turbulence and restriction from your intake tract. Not a gigantic improvement, but the turbo sound alone is worth it IMO. :)

I like this; I think I might duplicate this version on one of mine. 2 still have stock resonators in place.

...is that your FCD? Is it using an op-amp rated for underhood temperatures? Had any issues with it, how long has it been there? (and which version is it?)
