looks good, that expansion silicone couple may be causing turbulence post maf, which could affect your maf. maybe you could straighten things out a bit?

Yeah, I'll admit...

That's a pretty phat intake.

Cold airs make Subies sound like planes going up hills though lol.

Not that that's not cool.

Here's the parts list:

all the silicone was bought from siliconeintakes.com

-90 bending reducer 2.5 to 3 inch (i used a gates hose reducer to make this fit the turbo 2.5 to 2.25)

-3 inch hump coupler (may be better to use a straight coupler) as rj93ss pionted out

-45 bend 3 inch

-1 2.5 inch t-clamp 5 3inch t-clamp

all the rest of the pieces are vibrant perfomance

-alum 90 part no 2176

-alum 45 part no 2175 (i had 2 metal sleeves welded to this to for my IACV and blowoff recirc)

-maf adapter part no 1994

the only other thing i got was an knn cone filter. I don't remember what the part number was on this i just got one with a 3 inch flange and 8 inches long :)

i have a catch can so i only needed the 2 post maf intake ports if you wanna do a more stock setup you may need some more.

let me know if you need any other info on it

so how involved was it to fit the K&N cone in the fender well?

I have an Apexi pod intake and I think I could put an extension between the cone and the MAF fairly simply. I just didn't really think the cone would fit in there...

It was really easy all i did was route it right thru the stock airbox hole, the 3" pipe fits perfectly.

Then all you have to do is pull off the dust shield and put on the filter.

There is tons of room in that fender well to put as big of filter as you want.

watch out with the filter down there though, big puddles can equal engine hydro lock...

Ive done this build on countless 2.2 and 2.5 NA cars and I have to say it does absolutely nothing.
Makes it louder but thats it . I personally dont care for audible power but actual power gains.
Now when I do it on 2.2 and 2.5 NA models coupled with a 5spd manual and a catback 2.5 with magnaflow muffler or even a Thrush FlowmTech muffler I have seen reasonable gains.
This is just my .02

Mine does the basically the same thing, but draws air through a NACA duct in the side of the bumper. Only issue with that is getting it clogged when ramming through snow banks. Car will obviously be down on power. Pull over, clear intake, back in car 15 seconds later. Your initial intake is higher up than mine and better protected. As long as you have wheel well liner, you'll probably be fine. Power improvement? My car was fast for an N/A, about as fast as a stock turbo, but I don't think that had much to do with the intake.
