Taking off my intake manifold

Post by Nibbib »

Hi there I'm in the middle of taking of my intake manifold I think I have everything unbolted and unplug but I'm still having resistance lol.

I don't need to have the manifold completely out of the car just enough so I can fix my broken hoses..

Any advice would help

And I found out that the two nipples for the throttal body aren't even there... Can someone tell me where they tie into or go so I can get the right hoses and install

Those are probably for the coolant. Many people bypass it to keep intake temps cooler. There's no reason to put it back. Mine are capped off too.

Make sure you IAC's water lines are disconnected. There's gonna be a decent amount of resistance from the old gaskets.

Hmm I didn't know that the iac had water lines.

And I can fully move the manifold but can only lift it up maybe 1/2" or 3/4" if I really pull

The wiring harness has plugs going to the two temperature senders on the crossover pipe, as well as one going to the oil pressure sensor right under the alternator. You.sure they are all unplugged?

Just wondering what would be easier to do with installing the PVC hoses before I put the manifold back in or after

It will still be easier to assemble everything without the manifold.
