So what do I need to know or do to make this work. I just installed a tdo4 and don't have a 90 for the intake to the turbo. The 03wrx already had an intake that goes under the manifold.

I'm a little confused on your question. Are you asking about the intake piping pre turbo or the intake manifold? You mention 2.2t heads in the title which is why I was wondering about the intake manifold?

If im understanding correctly, you could raise up the manifold with thick phenolic spacers and run custom fuel lines to get clearance, along with that wrx's steering pump assembly. Would be far cheaper and easier to buy a silicone 90* for the turbo though. Or get an older JDM td04 with the cast 90* elbow.

I have to agree with mike, the silicone 90 would be a much better idea.
