one down..many more to go..

Post by David Carter »

Well i drove 5 hours and got my fiberglass RS stlye hood and the full refund which i didn't expect, i just expected a refund for the bumper. Jonathan is a good guy it seems to me i just think the whole thing hit too many bumps and like murphy's law it happend to david and jonathan and all of us who were in on the group buy. It is no ones fault just shit happens. Anywho i am very pleased with the hood just need to take it to a body shop for fitment and painting since i do not want to try and mess with that.
Larry if you could put pictures up when you get it installed that would be great. I'd personnally like to see what the finished product looks like..

I'm going to be tring to get a hood and refund sent out or picked up every month.. My deployment has alowed me a little cash by mid-month and my intentions is to get everyone on the groupbuy their hoods and money.. expect updates from group buyers like this to be regular each month untill i can get everyone.. again i apologise for the long long wait.

may be a bit

Post by Pacman »

Well the hood install may be awhile. I just bought a 2004 STI so i have to watch all my pennies so to speak, but if a good opportunity arises to have the hood painted and installed it will be done and pics will be posted. The Hood looks great and should look very nice on the car, just with the new toy the list of priorites has changed somewhat.

It'd still be cool to see a picture of the finished product if possible. Thanks.

David /Jonathan , What do I need to do to get my hood & bumper refund?

It's going on 2 years now.

I'd take 2 blem hoods and call it good if that helps any.

David,

Parts, and refund have been recieved. Thank you very much.

Taking it to a body shop tomorrow to see what they can do with it.

Jeesh. You guys should take it easy on poor Dave it's not like he makes or deals parts for a livinig... I never complained once!

Keep in mind I'm such an old-timer on this site, and i-club (pre-split, pre WRX, hell I was here when this thing was being hosted by Yahoo!) that I lost my login on both 2 - 3 times now, and I remember the days when you were lucky to get ANYTHING from a vendor on-time (emails too!)... Oh. Umm... wait a second, It's still that way now! :)

I guess I'm just gifted with patience.

Anyways. Easy for me to say when I've got my parts ready to go to the shop tomorrow eh?

Thanks again Dave! Serve us proudly.

Best,

Sam B.

$1100 later - I have one F.A.T. hood on the car (not all of that was spent on the hood btw.) As an added bonus they re-painted the entire front end.

No digital camera - so no lookie.

Move along. Nothing here to see.

Best,

S.

Another Hood out...

Post by David Carter »

Eric Eaton's Hood went out today...

Hopefully UPS ships it quickly and he should get it in a couple days or so..

Next is Peter Hadfield i have to ship 2 hoods to him..again thank you for waiting patiently..

As far as any new customers.. NO not right now..right now i am putting my complete attention to tring to get the original group-buy thier hoods and refunds..

I will have hoods left over..not many.. but i cannot deal with that issue untill they are satisfied and taken care of. they have waited far to long.

I should be back from iraq some time springish next year.. if the group-buy is done by then.. i will try and sell my remaining stock..i'm out of the fiberglass bussness by reputation at this point.. Rallitek expressed some interest in what i had left...i might just sell them everything and let them deal with it. but that is so far in the future..it hasen't been even discussed other than casually..

Again thank you all for your patience.

Only one more to go...

Post by David Carter »

Peter Hadfields 2 hoods went out on the 21st of november..he should be recieveing them shortly..

Eric cashed his check..so i'm assuming he recieved his on about the 18th..

Sam, no way you can put a picture up?

Brandon Schaal is the only guy i have to get a hood to, and i should be able to send a hood and refund to him on the 15th of december..
Also ,Dan Everson only ordered an RS Bumper..so i should also be able to send him his refund in december as well.. and i believe i'm done...

As far as everyone who wasen't on the group-buy who want one....you'll definately have to wait till i get back from iraq..

David Carter

P.S..if you got finished pictures...e-mail em to me..or post em.. i'd like to see what they look like finished..
