Manual Seat Belts

Post by Legacy777 »

Well......I have a set. They are in black though, however I think I can work with that for my tan interior. I'll have to play with a few of the trim pieces to see what looks good.

I may need some additional pieces, some which I may be able to get from the US cars, others maybe not. They gave me adjustable belt trim, however didn't give me the pieces to make the belts adjustable.....I'll have to look into that.

If I put the black ones in and they don't look like complete ass, they'll stay.

Ohhhh.......you've got tan???

The black ones are still sitting in the box. What all do you have? All the belts and trim, or just the belts?

Shoot me an email. I'm definitely interested!

If you don't mind me asking Josh, how much did all that run you?

I'm interested in doing the same to my car.

Cost me about $110 shipped if I remember correctly from another member in canada. Came with both belts and the clicker things they plug into and all the necessary trim pieces.

Unfortunately these trim pieces do not fit out cars that great and the headliner is not covered properly and exposes gaps in the headliner. Looks kind of ugly if you're picky about things like that.

I can post up some pictures if you'd like. Just gotta wait til I go to my parents place again to take them.

I don't recall what everything cost. I got it from a auto wrecker in BC. it wasn't cheap, primarily due to the shipping costs.

Give me a month or two......due to the issues with the headliner, I am thinking of coming up with a hybrid solution. If I can do what I have in my head, all you would need is the belts and the lower B piller trim piece.

Give me a little time to try what I want to do, and if it works I'll post the details.

Here's how my ceiling looks in my car right now. I installed the manual belts on the passenger side and then realized the difference in trim panels and haven't done the other side yet because I wasn't sure if I was going to leave it like that or not.

I should have a canadian headliner soon so hopefully that'll fix that problem.

did you install 91 manual belts and trim to your 91 legacy and it turned out like your picture?

That is correct. At least I'm pretty sure these are from a 91. Is there a difference?

Yeah, they're from a 90-91. Found the original FS thread. Set C.

http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0

From the pictures in that thread it appears the only difference in 90-91 and 92-94 is that 92-94 has a height adjustment. Other than that it looks the same. I guess I should have gotten the adjustable one, damnit.

Or that could have been only available on certain trim levels but I would imagine the SS would have all the options.

I am pretty sure that the height adjustment was a pre/post thing and not a trim-level-within-the-model-year thing

The other option is to snip a wire coming off the seatbelt computer, in the trunk. Which wire, i dunno. Hence the reason i removed my bulb. ;)

im just wondering if theres a way to tie the wires from each sensor together so the only thing that light is waiting on is the drivers side buckle, if that makes sense
