The Photochop Thread

Post by kimokalihi »

Anybody use Photoshop? I play around with it from time to time. I'm not that good at it but it's fun.

I thought I could start a thread where you could post pictures of Photoshop edits of your car the way it would look if you were to do a certain mod(s) to it.

I was thinking maybe my tail lights would look better if they were entirely red but after changing them in photoshop I think that might not look as good as I thought it would.

I'm not diggin' it, but maybe it would look better with the clear reverse lights. Give that a shot and post it up!

Here it is with the clear reverse. Looks better but still I don't think it looks better than with the rest of the clear.

I also did a quick center light delete but it looks way too plain and straight. Needs some lines to break it up, or a rear garnish like they get overseas.

I did something like this.

I used translucent black paint for tail lights.
I blacked out the top gray area the chrome and trimmed aroung the edges of the lower lights and made them have rounded corners.

I'm not sure if I really like it though.

I was wondering what a 2nd gen legacy hood scoop would look like on my car so my brother photoshopped a little demo.

I saw that before. Looks pretty good, he's probably a lot better with photoshop than me. I'm not that good, never took any classes or anything. Just mess around with it.

Did you ever put it on your car?

+1 Heck of a lot easier than actually doing the bodywork and fixing it for real!

@94 GT your car looks really awesome, everytime I see it I always question if I should do the same thing you did with your front bumper to mine hmmmmm. I think I like the stock contour of the trim though.

I had blacked-out white sections and chrome for quite a while... I just went back to stock, except for amberless turns.

My hood is BAD! I saw it the other day up close when I was opening it. My first legacy was really bad too. When I waxed it the wax got in all those stone holes and remained white (on a grey wagon) and made it look terrible.

Nope, not sure if I want to give it a try or not. Have had thoughts of seeing how close a 2nd gen hood fits a first gen car, maybe could be made to fit with less work than grafting just the scoop on. It's my daily driver and time/money are short lately so for now it's just talk.

To made a 22B-Legacy, and this was the result

I don't know if it's the wheels or the widebody rear end or both but every time I look at that it looks like a cadillac.

I think it's the complete 'strange' look of the Legacy.

the 2 doors made it looks like an other car

The widebody distracted me so much I didn't even realize it was missing the rear doors!
