Doors closing tight
Our 94L wagon has a couple of the doors that don't close all the way. They catch and lock but you can still push them in a bit from the outside. Ideas to adjust with the door latch or the body catch?
Re: Doors closing tight
Yes you can adjust the strikers in a little. Also is the plastic portion still on the strikers? More than likely that's missing.

The plastic piece that I'm referring to is here.
That little piece actually makes a different in keeping your door more solid when it's closed.

I'll check on that plastic piece. I would bet they are gone. Thank you.
Re: Doors closing tight
Hi guys. I'm really new in here, but my 91 wagon as the same "problem", specially on the trunk. The roads were i live are almost inexistent, so it kind'a makes a really nasty noise. Isn't that plastic piece the interior light sensor?
Do you know if the boot body catch (or striker) a bit?
Thank's and regards from the Arctic

Re: Doors closing tight
The plastic on the striker is what I was referring to.
On the rear gate there's no plastic piece but you can adjust it in to get a tighter fit. Also on the body there are two (not sure what to call them) adjustable slack mechanism on each side that is spring loaded to help the rear gate from racking back and forth, if those are bad the rear gate will will make noise. Also how is the rubber seal around the rear gate? If the seal is flat or ripped to shreds, the second gens fits.
