Where do I buy a new headliner board?

Post by BoneIslandScooby »

I would prefer something in plastic, rather than pressboard. Sorry, I've searched endlessly, but found no answers. Does anybody have any suggestions? A custom built one would probably cost too much, wouldn't it? Maybe I should get one of my boating buddies to make me one out of fiberglass, using the original as a mold? However, is there a simpler solution? Mail order?

...yes I read that in one of the threads on here. Of course it will not fit my automatic seatbelts though. It may not be so expensive for me to get it made out of fiberglass, then covered in fabric.

Any ideas other than having somebody mold it out of fiberglass? I'd rather just buy something new if it were possible.

Yes. Junkyard. Fiberglass will cost more. Canadian is plastic and much better quality. I have one but you're right, it'll look hideous without canadian trim and manual belts. So maybe its time to convert.

Unfortunately, no. Took forever to find someone to ship me my headliner and it was spendy. I'd sell the whole setup for $1,500. Its by no means worth that much but I probably paid about $600 for the belts, trim and headliner and it wasn't easy to find.

Make a road trip up to canada! Every bc/bf/bj up there has manual belts and the nice headliner.

I'd love to actually. It's one of the vacations I have in mind for one of these days.

Would be a cool road trip. Go up with a trailer and hit the yards.
