As i previously stated in another thread which i still dont know how to link in. My wifes cars gauge cluster shit the

bed. I went to the junk yard this moring and pulled a new cluster out of another car with 20k less miles.

Now this might be a long shot but can i just turn the little cable connection in the back to increase the mileage on

the cluster i bought?

Yes, you turn the cable in the back and it will increase the mileage. However, you'll be there for quite some time to add 20k miles.

What year did you grab the new cluster out of and what year is your wife's SS? Assuming they're similar years, I'd just swap the rear plastic piece with the electrical connections. That would be the easiest thing to do.

Yup, the 93 & 94 should be the same. Yes, just be careful with removing the bulbs and screws and transferring the ribbon over to the original cluster.

there seems to be a giant capacitor attached to the ribbon, im hoping this isnt wired to anyting else inside the cluster?

That is the seat belt chime. It should swap over.

So THAT is where the annoying seat belt chime is...thats enough to make me pull the cluster if that is what has to happen to disable it. Can anyone verify that is what must happen?

Are you wanting to get rid of the chime because of the key in the ignition or from the seat belts?

If it's from the key in the ignition you can disconnect the plug/wire from the key cylinder assembly that triggers the chime. If it's from the seat belts, you might have to get creative at the seat belt computer or pull the wire going to the chime at the cluster.
