Trying to understand roof racks

Post by silver03 »

Want one for our naked roof 94 Legacy L wagon. I have read Q38 clips. Not sure what the clip does and what other components are needed? nice to have? for kayaks/canoe any input appreciated

Are you asking how do the clips attach?

The clips are also known as the towers I believe. That is where the bars run through.

So, the clips/towers mount to the sides of the roof? All I would need are the cross bars than?

Technically the towers and clips are different. The towers are universal while the clips (q38) are specific to your vehicle.
