A.c. Compressor doesn't fit

Post by WRXish »

Looking to find a later model a.c. Compressor that will fit my 98 ej25d and bolt up to the existing hoses on the 91 legacy l that the engine is in. The 91 compressor and mounting bracket don't work on the ej25d, won't physically fit due to interference with the intake manifold.....help please!

I'm 99% sure the newer compressor wont bolt up to the stock compressor lines. Even 1st gens had 3 different kind of fittings that weren't interchangeable.

If you gotta keep AC, I would grab the one that came on your ej25d and have an AC shop adapt it to your car's lines.

Custom adaptation sounds like what needs to happen then, can't wait see how much that costs....

It's usually fairly cheap to have A/C lines made. I have paid around $20-30 a line for that sort of stuff before.
