Interior Panel Swaps Pre vs. Post-facelift

Post by wtdash »

Will all 1st Gen(eration) interior panels/pieces interchange?

'90-'91 = '92-'94? I know the EXTERIOR hood, fenders, etc won't but will the interiors swap?

Looking @ a '93 w/the tan interior but it's not my fave (no offense-JC). If I make a trip to the PullnSave and I can just grab and go from any '90-'94 that saves time checking.

Yes I searched.... a bit...not much...not a new/oob.

Thanks

Yes, seats, door panels, and interior panels are interchangeable from 90-94. Only few changes from 90-91 to 92-94. Few examples, console opens to the side on 90-91 (I prefer) but 92-94 open from the front and seam to get broke easier. One other is I like the tray in the lower trim under the steering column in 90-91.

None taken :)

I don't know if everything is interchangeable. I think the big thing is that you'd have to find one with ABS if the 93 has ABS.

Josh, I'm confused? What does ABS have to do with interchangeably of the panels? I know the SRS cars need the correct console to cover the computer.

Just the center console is affected by ABS.

You can put an abs-car center console on a non abs car, not the other way around

I wasn't aware they moved the abs computer from under the seat in 93. I assumed it was the SRS computer for the airbags.
