New dyno bests for the Reddevil

Post by douglas vincent »

180 whp and 210 torque at about 10-11 psi

Image

201 whp and 255 torque with a 50 hp nitrous shot and WAY TOO BIG fuel jet.

Image

Had the fuel jet been smaller, I probably would have hit about 220 whp.

I dynoed at PRE in Greshem. This week is just $35 for 3-4 pulls as they get the kinks worked out. Normally it will be about $65 with wideband.

I ran 13's with 8 psi boost and 100 shot of nitrous. Now I am at 10-14 psi (depending upon gear) and should be just shy of the 13.99 mark on boost alone. :(

Doug,

That's a dyno dynamics. You should have them run it in shoot out mode.

In shoot out mode, you should be able to go to any dyno dynamics dyno anywhere in the world, and it will be measured the same.

The shop in Houston has one, and I'd be curious to see how your setup compares to mine when I get it done.

Well, with a bigger turbo and downpipe, Kelley made 215 whp at 18 psi before fuelcut. At 8 psi on the same dyno I made 155.

So I bet if you have a fuel cut defender, you win! Get that baby running!

I fixed some of my boost leaks and am now running 13ish psi. So I am probably making a tad over 200 at the wheels now. If only I can keep the damn piping from popping off!

Get a slightly larger pipe, and make lips.

maybe take the pipes to an exhaust shop and have them put a little flare in them, they have these crazy expanding die things for doing it to exhaust pipe. just a slight flare on the end would probably be all you would need eh?
