I've had a few reports of problems after i upgraded the BBS forum software a week and a half ago.

This seems to be confined to a few people, so i'm pretty certain that it's not a BBS software problem and most likely a cookie/cache problem on your browsers.

Please try clearing your forum cookies and flushing your browser cache. If it's not working in IE, try Mozilla/Firefox or another non-IE based browser. If that doesn't seem to help, try your user account from another computer.

Also,

please post your operating system, browser type, and version.

One last thing, log out and log back in again.

What are the symptoms those with problems are experiencing?

Are you just not getting the pop-up notification? Are you not getting email notification? Are you unable to actually go to your PM box?

Hmm, strange. I use explorer all the time and have never had a problem with the pm's or posting.

On my WinXp I never had problems using the forum...but on Mac OS X I couldn't reply either. I was using IE. I didn't try netscape....
So I think it is the Mac to blame not the IE.

Try clearing your cookies/cache files. Also try Mozilla/Firefox as an alternative browser.

Don't use MSN...

I still don't understand the symptoms. What exactly happens when you try to make a post or send a PM? What happens when someone sends you a PM?

What happens: I click "post reply" it goes to a blank gray screen where I can see the BBS logo and stuff, but will not go directly to the place where I type what I need to say. Same thing happens with my PM's.

my personal messaging now works again on my mac, while using interner explorer.

it did not work on 5/11/04 and now today, 5/12/04, it does and has a new black look.

nothing was changed on my computer.

so i guess it was not my mac.

Yeah, i get the feeling that there was something either on the subSilver style that was causing wierd problems, or that some cached files were corrupt.

The other styles would require your browser to redownload and cache everything again, eliminating any usage of the previously cached files.

Glad to hear that it's working again.

who you trying to pm?

Their email address is probably incorrectly formatted. Post or pm the name, and I'll take a look.
