BBS Maintenance

Some of you may have been experiencing internal server 500 errors over the past few weeks. We've been looking into them and as result will be looking at doing some maintenance/upgrades to try and rectify the situation.

As we work or upgrade things you may see some intermittent outages or experience issues posting/accessing the site. Additionally, there may be some upgrades/updates that are needed which may change the look and feel of the site.

Please be patient and understanding as we work on the BBS.

Thanks!

Thanks for beating me to this post Josh.

The newer board version will look a lot different than it does now. This is due to incompatibilities and the community-sourced themes and styles we utilize. Rotating banners and other quirky things will also go away until we can find suitable alternatives, if available.

Thanks for your patience, all.

We're up to the latest version of the forum software. Please test and make sure things work. There's another behind-the-scenes update that needs to happen, but it's not related to either this software or the precious database where everything is stored.

I'll be investigating other, less "basic" styles than this. As for now, this is a big relief.

I find that my login isn't remembered between sessions - I have to log in again even though I checked the "remember me" box (Firefox 66.0.5 64 bit on Win 8.1 x64).

Thanks for letting us know. We've been continuing to work on things, so please let us know if it continues.

Just to confirm, are you checking the "remember me" check box when logging in?

Please delete your cookies. We were making some changes yesterday. There is a link at the bottom right of the forum that says "Delete cookies".

That didn't fix the problem. As soon as I close the page, I need to log in again when returning.

What browser are you using? Is this on your phone or computer/laptop?

The "requested page could not be found error" at 1012AM PST. And then again upon trying to submit this reply the first time.

For testing purposes, can you try another browser and see if it still happens?

Thanks

I tried IE 11.0.126 and the behavior is the same.
