I love the new look.

If only there werent so many catagories... am I the only one who cant keep up with this board?

But the colors look great, are there more choices?

Yup. Check under Profile. subSilver was the previous theme.

OMG!! I didnt think it could get better. I changed to another theme, cant remember what the title was... but i definalty like the selection. I created a few themes for the USMB, but they're still having some bugs worked out before they go live. Who was responsable for these?

Dave set these as options. If you go down at the bottom, you'll be able to click on a link to take you to the site of the person who created these styles.

I looked through all of them, and I actually prefer Aeolus the best. Easiest on the eyes IMO...

phpBB makes style management pretty easy, and there are quite a few premade ones available.

These three represented some decent variety but were still usable.

I like em all and really like the fact that we can choose for ourselves too.

I really like Aeolus and the smartDark. Why doesn't the HeliusGray have a car pic in the upper left corner like the rest though? It's my least favorite so it doesn't really matter to me, I'm just wondering.

I've noticed a couple problems with these new themes. In the Aeolus theme, the Quote tab doesn't work. In the smartDark theme I keep getting a bunch of URL text at the top when I enter threads. Just a couple things I noticed, as with anything new I'm sure there will be a few bugs to be worked out.

I think these problems are happening in every theme, I also cannot respond to my PM's now.

Every time I try to use the Quote tab or post a reply in my PM's I get this dreaded page:

The page cannot be displayed

I've not had any complaints...in fact, it's fixed problems for a few people.

Try a cache cleansing.

I can do PMs and if I click the "quote" button it works, but I've noticed something different:

It used to be that when I clicked the "Quote the last message" box under the quick reply area, it would insert a quoted copy of the last message into the quick reply box. Now it doesn't seem to do that anymore. It seems to insert the quoted message before actually adding it to the thread, but that doesn't give me a chance to edit it.

I'm so frustrated.....I need help. If I try over and over and over I can get the quote option to work maybe 1 in 10 times. Same with the PM's. I'm computer illiterate and don't know what to do. I've never had a problem before and I didn't change anything.

I think you can clear your caches by going to the Internet control panel or something similar... There should be a place for you to delete offline content or something like that. I think that's it anyhow. See if you can find it.

The only thing I can find like that is in the Java control panel. I found a spot where it say's I can clear my cache. Is this what I'm looking for?

Hmm, I don't think that the Java stuff shares the same cache as Internet Explorer in general...

Were you in the Internet Options control panel, and just didn't see anything that looked relevant?

What version of Windows are you running?

I'm running Win98 1st edition. I just looked again and found something kinda like you're talking about in the temporary internet files. Is that what I'm looking for?

Yup, Temporary Internet Files is the cache.

Ok, I did it. It gave almost a Gig of free memory.

Unfortunately it made no difference.
